I remember when I first heard the song, my sister played it to me when she was explaining how her year 10 English teacher made her class go through all the “clues” of the Paul is Dead conspiracy and write stuff about it, which sounds like a pretty crazy-awesome lesson, I know – I went to the same school as her and had the teacher a few times, he’s really cool and his classroom was like a Beatles memorabilia shop But haha I digress – she said her whole class was convinced John was saying “I buried Paul” and it always freaked her out so when she played the ending to me that was all I heard too lol. I know the whole Paul is Dead thing is way far-fetched and fake (though I have to admit, reading about the “clues” can get very interesting) but sometimes when I hear the song I faintly hear “I buried Paul” in my head even if I know it’s cranberry sauce, I think it’s just the knowledge you have that some people think it’s I buried Paul so that’s what you hear, idk. The ending of that song is still creepy either way

It sounds like ‘I buried Paul to me’, but then it sounds like ‘cranberry sauce’ again, depending on which one I’m expecting it to sound like.

I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I think the entire Paul Is Dead conspiracy could be summed up by that post.

It made me chuckle seeing William Shears Campbell thanking you for that post
