Wow, I was just able to vote for Come Together a third time, this time on my laptop.
I voted for Hey Jude on my laptop and on my phone, and in a bit I’ll vote on Father Shears Campbell’s computer to even things out

Ok, 15 votes for Come Together minus the two ET did as extra = 13. Hey Jude remains on 6. CT Still wins by more than 2:1…

Come Together is objectively better than Hey Jude , if you think otherwise you just don’t know the Beatles.

If it is objective then there is no influence from opinions, which means it is backed by facts and evidence. What evidence can you present that it is factually better?

Come Together is written by John Lennon , who is obviously a better song writer than anyone else in the Beatles. I know what objectively means, you troll

Come on now, @Richman, we have to take the high ground and be nice to those who are slow to understand, even though most people on this forum are not nice to Yoko.

If you want to argue the objective route, Hey Jude has sold 4,000,000 copies as a single, the tenth best-selling song of all time. It was number one for 9 weeks. Come Together was number one for a single week.
Not to say sales dictate what the best song is, as Sexy Sadie is better than both and never saw any time on the charts. (IMO) Also, are you saying that if you ranked the Beatles songs, you would go through all of the John songs before reaching a song by Paul or George? Surely you can’t think that Run For Your Life is better than Here Comes The Sun .
While I agree John is the best songwriter in the Beatles, I don’t think it is that obvious, and I don’t think there is objectivity in rock/pop music.

Look Richman, you’re ruining such a great thread and here’s why:
1. May be nitpicking, but you don’t need to quote with every reply you make, it’s good sometimes but doing it for every single post pisses me off.
2. Why the hell do you need to write 5 paragraphs, that’s just utter bullshit and this is the first post I’ve needed a text to speech converter to read.
3. Saying Come Together is better than Hey Jude or that John Lennon is a better singer/songwriter than Paul McCartney is an opinion and not factual, I personally think that both songs are great and both John and Paul are great singers and songwriters, if someone thinks that Hey Jude is a better song don’t get so pissed off because in some ways, it is and it sure is one hell of a song to sing along to and as far as Paul’s songwriting, just remember that without Paul, there would be no Beatles, just like that without John or George there would be no Beatles.
4. sir walter raleigh was only correcting you with no intention of pissing you off, similar to the amount of times Ron Nasty has corrected me, although unlike you, I’ve never wrote a hate post towards him.
5. None of the f****d up stupid ass s**t that you claimed sir walter raleigh did is true and even if it is, who the hell are you to s**t talk him for it.
6. If anyone is a troll, it’s you and you are starting to remind me of a banned user named Randie who wrote big ass posts that went in one ear and then down the s*****r, sometimes as many as 18 at a time and you know what happened, the thread was locked and the user was banned and I will sure as hell be pissed off if a perfectly acceptable thread like this one gets locked because of your immature retarded f*****g stupid shenanigans that even a 4 year old would know better not to do.
Maybe you should try posting more.

Paul is a great bass player, some notable examples of his bass work is Nowhere Man , If I Needed Someone , Taxman , Paperback Writer , With A Little Help From My Friends , Hey Bulldog , Dear Prudence , Come Together , Something , I mean if Paul plays bass on it and it was released after Help ! then there’s at least a 90% chance there’s going to be some great bass playing. What’s funny is that his bass playing was decent at best until he switched from his Hofner to his Rickenbacker during the Rubber Soul sessions.

I do. Yes, Here Comes The Sun is wonderful, but the middle section goes on for too long.
In Run For Your Life , I can’t think of a time John put more energy into his vocals. And the chord progression in the chorus is fantasticly unusual!

Nice to read. I think ‘Run For Your Life ‘ is a fantastic track which gets an unfair kicking solely because of the lyrics – can’t be having such nasty Beatles.

I went with Hey Jude because I’m on a kick of it at the moment, but I really love both songs. Come Together has such an amazing bass/drum combination and i love the chorus.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.
