Like data that is very far from the rest. People will often exclude outliers when working with data and I wonder if you will do that.
We should include them, especially since it’s a total not an average. I feel like thats not true to the data.

Offline I’m really sorry this is taking so long guys. I can only do about one a day because they take forever because I have to manually add each one on to the master copy with the total scores. So yes, progress. But very slow progress.

No worries. If you don’t get it out by 2069 you’ll still be quicker than Apple and the Let It Be reissue, 2019 and you’ll be ahead of Tune In Volume 2. I would mention Paul’s archive releases but considering those won’t be completed until they find a way to time travel and bring Paul back to life it seems pointless.

Offline Thanks all – this thread has been a great source of amusement and probably one of the few where I would disagree with a lot of folks here – mostly about this ‘canon’ thing. No wonder there are so many different bible versions in the world (and so many different ‘one true’ churches). According to many here it seems a Who song I kind of like is not actually a Who song, just the way some Beatles songs I like are apparently not by the Beatles. Do we have a thread on that topic where we can get all hot and heavy on why / why not and end up agreeing to disagree?
Sorry to digress, and I look forward to seeing the results and thanks all who organised.
Also, another digression sorry; a while back I voted in a poll on another site to rate all of the Beatles albums, group and solo – does anyone recall this and know where we can check out the results?

Are you thinking that we are saying songs not in the canon (PPM -> LIB + MMT + PM) are not Beatles songs as thats not what we meant and i would hate to think that that is the case?
All the post LIB releases and thereby songs first issued on those albums (Anthology, Live At The BBC etc) are Beatles tracks (well FAAB & RL are debated but lets not go there), its just that they fall outside of the 213, or whatever it is, songs all four Beatles approved for release with EMI between 1962 and 1970, so Love Me Do thru to the Spector edit of Get Back (as its the last song on the Let It Be album).
Those 213 (or so) tracks are what someone would need to own all the songs the Beatles put out before they officially disbanded and so embody their creative output as a band, they are tracks they put time and energy into to met their seal of approval before being unleased on the world to be [possibly] played forever. The BBC tracks, for instance, were recorded with the thought that they would be heard once or twice on radio at that time and then rarely if ever again – certainly not being issued 50 years later in three different sets.

Offline ^ I’m just stirring, but yes, it’s the tracks we are ‘not going to’ which I am on about. It doesn’t need 4 Beatles and an official seal of approval for me to consider it a Beatles track, same goes for the Who tracks post Moon. i realise not many share that opinion and I don’t want to sidetrack any more in this thread, which has far more interesting things to discuss – like only 2 of us really liking Piggies ???

I asked parlance about that a few weeks ago and she said she hadn’t seen results yet. Don’t know where we’d find them.
