And Piggies is better than Long Long Long!
I think you need to be retaught the recognised order of Beatles songs.

I’m sorry I posted a comment to the list thread. Just to add my opinion, heck it’s just a list – nobody’s going to agree with every ranking – Face0’s comments are fine with me – I don’t agree with them all but that’s what this thread is for. I think it does make the list more interesting.

I am sad we said goodbye to Don’t Bother Me , Long Long Long, I Call Your Name and Tell Me Why …those songs would all be in my top 70. No songs lost off Revolver or Sgt. Pepper ‘s yet…

Me too. Long, Long, Long is one of my favorite Beatles songs.

“Michelle “????
Winner of a Grammy for “Song of the Year” doesn’t make it to the top 100? Gotta admit, I’m shocked.

ITSWD, are you baiting me into (yet again) using this forum to express my extreme anti-Grammy Awards scorn?
’cause I’ll do it, you know!

How is Piggies better than Long Long Long???
I do not understand your logic girl, Piggie has great lyrics but the tune itself is a bit jarring. Whereas LLL is absolutely beautiful both in the instrumentation and the lyrics!
I know it’s your own thoughts but still

A Day In The Life , most likely.
I would have wanted While My Guitar Gently Weeps , Norwegian Wood or Dear Prudence but eh c’est la vie!

“A Day In The Life ” is the safe guess, I would think. (As ASJr. already pointed out.)
I really don’t understand myself why “Long Long Long”‘s lyrics are considered outstanding. I get that they’re plain-spoken and supposedly heartfelt, but they’re just so bland, y’know? (Which is better than pretentious, I guess, but still…)

I also think A Day In The Life will be the top one.
I think Strawberry Fields Forever and Something will be in the top 5. No idea about the others.

I’ll make the prediction (aka wild guess) that Hey Jude wont be in the top 10. Some folk arent that keen on it so will mark it less than other notables like Here Comes The Sun , A Day In The Life , Strawberry Fields, While My Guitar Gently Weeps . It’ll now come in at #2.

I dont think ADITL got a perfect score on the sheet I scored while others did, which is part of why Im unsure, but that is a pretty good guess.

Sorry, what? I like the tune well enough, but the lyrics are easily the worst lyrics in any Beatles song. Not even close. Yellow Submarine has more lyrical value than Piggies . The lyrics are the real reason I hate it (that and the stupid pig noises)

Sorry, I refuse to accept that there is a Beatles lyric worse than “Love Me Do “.
“Can we all agree…or not?” – I think that question’s been settled pretty definitively by now!

Well, Love Me Do was their first release. Piggies was written after such lyrical masterpieces as Yesterday , A Day In The Life , and Eleanor Rigby , as well as being on the same album (and by the same Beatle) as While My Guitar Gently Weeps .

My sister’s favorite Beatles songs are Michelle and Twist And Shout . It’s really sad to see either of them so soon on the list.
I think the Abbey Road Medley will be number 1.

First, Twist And Shout isn’t gone yet.
Second, the Abbey Road Medley isn’t counted as one song. It was scored, but I decided to count them as individual spaces because they’re individual tracks. If it had been counted, it would have been in second, by it’s score.
