Nice, I think it’s funny how you can listen to a song hundreds of times, with good headphones btw, and not hear something but then you hear it once and now you can never NOT hear it.
There’s something else that happens in that song, Paul yells “we’re the greatest band in the world” or something like that. I think it’s buried in stereo but pretty clear in mono. One more, I like in What Goes On after Ringo says “tell me why” for the second time, I think, you can hear John go “we already told you why.” That always makes me laugh.
Perhaps this deserves it’s own thread, but does anyone have any thoughts on what song sounds best in a pair of headphones? I’d say You Never Give Me Your Money , that middle instrumental bit with the “aaaaahhs” over the top sounds so beautiful it makes me want to cry. Or Rain …LOUD!
Great idea Gnik – follow me…

That is hilarious. I’m putting “Listen to What Goes On ” on my To Do List for today.

Okay, so I come on here expecting things about the instrumentation, but it turned out pretty funny instead. I listened to these, and aught them, and can't stop listening. When I heard John say “Bye” in the reprise, my dad thought I was choking. And it's not John that says the profanity, it was a sound guy. I heard Paul say so in an interview, when he was asked that, and about the Beatles religions (including asking if Ringo is/was Jewish).

In Good Day Sunshine after Paul says “she feels good” you can hear John kind of ask him “she feels good?”
After Paul’s little isolated bass bit in Come Together you can hear someone yell “look out!” which I’ve always thought was pretty cool considering how nasty that bass is.

I had these in a different thread and revived them for this one.
1 – In I'm Only Sleeping at about 1:56 or so in, you can hear someone (I swear it's John) in the distance say “yawn Paul” just a few seconds before he actually does. So it goes…”I'm only sleeeeeping…” bah-da-da-da-da {“Yawn Paul”} bah-da-da-da {Paul yawns} “Keeping a light on the world going by my window…”
2 – John whispers Sexy Sadie at 2:30 and 2:53 into the song.

Really? Do you remember where you saw it?
Ah, no I can't find the podcast. I know it was an Absolute Radio Podcast, and that it was in one of the Macca series. It might have been another one where he mentioned religions. But it's an ARP: The Beatles Podcast episode.

Somebody coughs in the beginning of Taxman , but I don’t think I’ve heard this I feel fine sneeze you’re talking about. I’ll be listening for that today.
Blue Nicey, are you talking about the version with the false start and the mxing sounds? That's what I have on my iPod, and it has the cough.(There's also the version you here/play on Beatles Rock Band, to clarify about the version thing)
I dunno, whatever version came on my Revolver CD. It also has George counting in with the “One, two, thray, fauh, one, two, three … ”
That's the one on my iPod.

Interesting. I had always heard it was John. I suppose there's transcripts of it somewhere.

I'm trying to find where that is said. What time is it at?
