Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

The whole rhythm counter-rhythm opening of Baby You’re A Rich Man & the clavioline melody are wunnerful! ( I recall a story that John was actually rolling an orange over the keyboard so the melody was purely accidental, but what a sweet accident!)
And Blue Jay Way ‘s swirling cello and organ sounds JUST like fog looks! (I live in SF. GH nailed the fog!)

I’ve been appreciating that one lately, as I’ve been playing it a lot.
I really love the intro to Lovely Rita : that jangly guitar, sweet drum fill, and then the vocal harmony part just takes you away.

The next one I hear because it’s gonna be followed by a Beatles song – and good, bad, or indifferent, I always like hearing a Beatles song.

I was listening to It’s All Too Much the other day and remarking to myself on how fabutastilous the intro is. Whatever else you may say about the extended-ness of the outro, the ‘See yo’ma *WEEEEANDROOOOOMMMMMMAYOAYOAYOAYOAOAOAOOOOOOOWWW*….’ is brilliant.
*That be my onamatopoeoa

I have to say that my favourite intro is probably A Day In The Life , but to be honest it’s impossible to choose.
It’s the one Beatles intro that never fails to send a chill up my spine.
