We have had lists of our favourite albums and favourite songs, but I’m not sure we have had our favourite year or what we consider to be The Beatles best year?
The result may vary from your favourite album eg. perhaps Revolver is your favourite album, but maybe a combination of ‘Strawberry Fields Forever ‘, ‘I Am The Walrus ‘ and ‘A Day In The Life ‘ says that 1967 is their best year … maybe 1965 for ‘Ticket To Ride ‘, ‘In My Life ‘ and ‘We Can Work It Out ‘ or even 1963 for ‘She Loves You ‘, Please Please Me ‘ and ‘I Saw Her Standing There ‘?
So what is your favourite year? You can say if it varies from the year of your favourite album!

Yes and no. Roughly the same theme, however this question is much harder, as you only have one calendar year to choose from, unlike a rough period in the other thread.
If I had to choose one year, I guess it’d be 1965 *looks longingly at 1966*.

I suppose it is similar, but more specific. There are sort of 3 main eras … Please Please Me to Help , Rubber Soul to MMT and Lady Madonna to Abbey Road .
I was just interested to see which year members thought best or preferred. It is really difficult to choose!
It is probably 1966 for me, with the Revolver album plus the Paperback Writer / Rain single, even though this was the year they released the least number of songs.

Offline I think it’s got to be 1967 for me too, but special mention to 1965 – an often overlooked year, when compared to some of the later ones.
