lol ~ I don’t mind being the spoilsport. Is the answer “None” because holes can’t fill something up?

Well, kind of. The 4,000 holes were in Blackburn, Lancashire, which is in the north of England. The Albert Hall is in London, and is much smaller than Blackburn.
If we’re looking at the holes in the road surfaces of Blackburn, we’re dealing with essentially a flat (or what should be flat) surface. The Royal Albert Hall (RAH) is a three-dimensional space. So it’s difficult to compare the two.
Firstly, we’d need to find the total area of Blackburn, and divide by 4,000 to find the average size of a hole. Then we’d have to somehow work out how to translate this into the space of the RAH (interior diameter 219 ft, height 135 ft). And that’s where I give up because I was never very good at maths and physics. Although ‘they’ might know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall, I’m not clever enough!

Ooo… clever. I hadn’t thought of it that way.
Errrr, I hate being a wise guy on this fantastic site, but how is that clever?!
I was thinking hard about a possibility it could NOT have been meant that way…
I was refering to iCaramba’s answer? The answer Sunii was looking for would be the obvious answer.
Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

May I finish the lyrics Lewis?
They had to count them all. Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall.
