It took me forever to get into Within You Without You , and I’m Only Sleeping are two ones I can think of right now that I haven’t listed before

Used to think of “It’s All Too Much ” as a joke or a “Piss Song” as George described “Only A Northern Song “. But it’s actually quite good. And they sound like they’re having a good time recording it, a definite plus in post Pepper recordings.

Yes, two interesting songs from that period.

There was a time when I couldn’t stand to hear Come Together . I like it fine now.
Believe it or not, I also used to often wonder what folk saw in Here Comes The Sun *gasp* I mean, I liked it okay, but I didn’t see why it was the #1 downloaded song on iTunes when the Beatles finally conquered iTunes. It wasn’t really mine, you know? It didn’t mean to me what it meant to other people.
I learned how to play it last week, and I kind of get it now. I can’t tell you, but I know it’s mine.

Revolution 9 . I actually didn’t have the courage to listen to it, but decided based on what most people said, I assumed I’d hate it. Recently I decided I would have too listen to it eventually, and took the plunge. I actually enjoyed it.

I must say I rarely worry what people say – though sometimes it will pique my curiosity.
As one example, with Neil Young; I find I enjoy most of the albums in his catalogue that many “fans” warn people to stay away from; like Trans and Landing on Water.

I love ‘Wild Life ‘ yet fail to see any attraction in ‘New’. Most Paul fans would have me institutionalised for such tastes.
Music tastes are so complicatedly personal no one can ever be 100% correct on what another person will like.

Wild Honey Pie and Lovely Rita have grown on me lately. It’s strange, one day I just listened to Wild Honey Pie once, and it was in my head the entire day. Lovely Rita didn’t take too long, but it took some time to grow on me and now I love both the songs

There is a small ‘Wild Honey Pie ‘ fan club you can join if you wish @natureaker. No idea who’s in it now tho or who’s running it.
