Good Morning Good Morning – idk if it was the animal sounds, or the repeated GMGM at the end. But I used to skip it a lot. Now it’s prob my 2nd or 3rd fav song on Pepper
Lovely Rita – Thought it was a filler song at first, but I love it now
Run For Your Life – The message behind the song was just something I wasn’t used to from the Beatles. I never hated it, but I thought it was the worst song on Rubber Soul . Not anymore — I love it.
Mean Mr Mustard – Thought it was useless filler, not I love it. Just has a good feel, and it connects well to Polythene Pam , etc.
Love You To – Never could get into it, but I enjoy it a ton now.

I love her. The first time I herd it I didn’t like it but after a few more things I liked it more.

“You Know My Name” really annoyed me the first several times I heard it – partly because I was listening to it on a scratchy old copy of the “Let It Be ” 45 and couldn’t properly appreciate the nuances. Really, it took the release of the (nearly-)full length edit on the Anthology (with the “ska” section left intact) before I could hear how cleverly structured and assembled a creation it is – a unique and delightful item in the canon.

Well, I like Revolution Nine a lot more than I did, don’t love it though. Most of the other songs I loved/liked right away, even (especially) You Know My Name, which a lot of people seem to dislike at first.

Till There Was You . Growing up it plain bored me but have grown to love it, especially George’s solo.

Drive My Car . I don’t quite know why I really disliked it. Now I find it great fun.
Oh, and I used to really dislike (badly) This Boy . Now I think it’s fabulous. What was wrong with me? Really.

She’s A Woman : I don’t really know if it was the chords or the vocals from Paul, but i somehow didn’t like it.
And I Love Her : The guitar intro and the slow vocals. Now it’s maybe my 13th favorite.
If I Fell : I think maybe it was the vocals that i didn’t like.
(This is my first post. YAAY!)

The only one I can think of right now is “Yellow Submarine .” The first time I listened to it I was really like, “what???” I really wondered what it was about and I asked my mom if it really was a Beatles song. But it has grown on me, I guess I like it, it creates this nice atmosphere and it is cheerful. I still haven’t really decided if it is about drugs or not..
This is the only song of I can think of now. Might post some others later. I do remember first only liking The Beatles first albums, like: Please Please Me , A Hard Day’s Night , etc. I thought that Abbey Road was just weird. But the more often I listen to Beatle songs/albums, the better they become!

Loads of songs. I wouldn’t say I disliked them, but I’d often forget them and not care. I adore all of these now. Here’s a list:

Within You Without You – I used to despise this song, calling it “boring.”
Tomorrow Never Knows – This may shock some, but I used to think this song was just really weird: I called it “too acid for me.” After getting a good listen, though, it blew me away. The drumbeat is really cool, too.

I wouldn’t say “dislike,” but up until recently I had overlooked “Think For Yourself .” Now, it’s a fave of mine. Same for “I’ll Be Back ,” I finally gave it a shot and now I play it at least twice a day.

We had a family record player and lived in only 3 rooms with a shared toilet down the corridor. It meant that music was a communal activity; what I put on the turntable everyone else in the family had to listen to and vice versa. Fortunately from A Hard Days Night on…..all ages had gotten into the Beatles. They, ‘couldn’t sing’ of course not when compared by my parents to Nat King Cole and Sinatra….. “but they can write good songs” it was conceded.
Revolver had been bought for me for my 13th birthday. I played it constantly when I was alone, but when the family were ‘in’ I always as inconspicuously as possible rushed to lift off the needle just before ‘Tomorrow Never Knows would begin and switch sides to start again…….. Had the tabula drums and screeching seagulls started it would have been, ‘off with that rubbish’ and I’d have to sit through ‘The Sound of Music’ or ‘South Pacific’ and wait my turn again.
It’s things like that that makes music you love even more precious
