I was cheating from your list https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..4/#p151010

Otherwise, I haven’t a clue. I think one of the O Knowledgeable Ones might have to answer this question. But, I will do some more searching when I can to see if I can find the answer.

That list consists of various different performances all from 1964 which will fall out of copyright at the end of this year; for instance four different performances of ‘I Saw Her Standing There ‘, all from 1963, are spread out over both volumes of ‘Live At The BBC ‘ and ‘The Beatles Bootleg Recording Sessions 1963’.

I don’t know if that question is resolved, but whenever it is

How many Beatles songs contain the word ‘dead,’ and which Beatle used it the most?

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

“I’d rather see you dead little girl” – ‘Run For Your Life ‘ is the obvious one. My brain isn’t working to think of others. ‘Eleanor Rigby ‘ and ‘A Day In The Life ‘ both feature deaths but not the word “dead” as does ‘Taxman ‘.

oh, ‘She Said, She Said’ – “I know what it’s like to be dead“.

and

“And ignorance and hate mourn the dead” from ‘Tomorrow Never Knows ‘.

Considering those are three John songs i’ll go with John using it the most.

Addition #1

“If i ain’t dead already, woo, girl you know the reason why” – ‘Yer Blues ‘.

Addition #2

“Will she still believe it when he’s dead? – ‘Girl’.

All John.

Does any other Beatle have one?

Blackbird singing in the dead of night (Paul)
And yet you don’t believe her when she said her love is dead / For No One (Paul)
Made sure that she was dead / Maxwell’s Silver Hammer (Paul)

Will she still believe it when he’s dead? / Girl (John)
Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog’s eye / I Am The Walrus (John)
Some are dead and some are living / In My Life (John)
They might as well be dead / Rain (John)
If I ain’t dead already / Yer Blues (John)
Last night the wife said, “Oh boy, when you’re dead You don’t take nothing with you but your soul – think!” / Ballad of John and Yoko (John)
(and the three mmm mentioned)

Before I’m dead old man / Love You To (George)

So, 1 for George, 3 for Paul, and John is the leader with 9 so far

Ooooooooo, 9.

I think that’s all of them! And there were a few I didn’t think of listed above…

I thought of a few with die and death, but just wanted to keep it to one word to make it easier…

But for fun we can do those I guess.

“An untimely death.” I Am The Walrus

“My advice for those who die…” Taxman

“…died in the church and was buried along with her name…” Eleanor Rigby

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

I am feeling very mad at myself for answering with all those songs. I didn’t give more people a chance to play along. I won’t do it again. Promise.

I’ll throw out a new topic.

Which songs mention eyes? a-hard-days-night-john-3

You’ll Be Mine

My darling, when you brought me
That toast the other morning
I, I looked into your eyes
And I could see a national health eyeball

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

It’s All Too Much : “With your long blond hair and your eyes of blue.”

I Am The Walrus : “Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog’s eye.”

Golden Slumbers : “Golden Slumbers fill your eyes.”

EDIT:

The Fool On The Hill : “And the eyes in his head, see the world spinning round.”

Dear Prudence : “Dear Prudence , open up your eyes.”
