I do. What song featured the only orchestral overdub (aka, an overdub they couldn’t do themselves) prior to Let It Be was the first not to be Arranged by George Martin?

Well that was a topic killer, wasn’t it? (I’ve only just found this thread).
Please enlighten me someone(anyone) I, for one, have no idea. And would love to know…

In the original MMT EP inner sleeve, there is a picture of John, Paul and Ringo eating what appears to be fish and chips out of the standard plastic takeaway box, so I guess that could be the answer, but I’ve also heard tales of the Beatles sending Mal out to get that particular meal during the Pepper sessions.

It’s I Feel Fine . The Magical Mystery Tour one can’t work because since it’s only a picture, there’s no song associated with that.

It’s time to blow the dust off of this thread and air it out again.
This one is from a book my wife bought me for Christmas.
There are 16 original Beatles songs that begin a capella – if even for one syllable. Name them.
Here you go, @Zig. Your post is on the previous page of this thread.
I dug this up for you as a result of this post

Kite got the two most obvious ones. I was listening to Rubber Soul right after reading a conversation about John saying “we told you” during What Goes On and the conversation about the running order of the albums.
My ears perked up when I heard this in the second song after What Goes On
Why, tell me why, did you not treat me right?
Love has a nasty habit of disappearing overnight
Then I got to thinking about the order of the songs.
First you have
It’s so easy for a girl like you to lie
Tell me why
What Goes On in your heart?
Then you have Girl which has the girl telling lies of sorts and thinking she is superior
And she promises the earth to me, and I believe her
After all this time I don’t know whyWhen you say she’s looking good
She acts as if it’s understood
She’s cool, ooo, ooo, ooo
Then it seems as though the guy gets fed up by the third song (I’m Looking Through You )
I’ve learned the game
I’m Looking Through You
You’re not the sameYou were above me, but not today
The only difference is you’re down there
I’m Looking Through You , and you’re nowhere
I had been hearing “Why, tell me why did you not treat me right? Love has a nasty habit of disappearing overnight” as the guy being sad the love is gone. Now, I’m seeing it as the guy telling the girl “Ha, look what you lost, sucker! If you had treated me right, you could still have ME.” The tone of his voice during that song does seem to suggest this interpretation.

I got the two obvious ones and then i thought of ‘Why (Can’t You Love Me Again)‘ which could be argued fits. Can I get half a point at least?

Well, here’s the deal, mmm. You get the half point for your depth of Beatles knowledge. I had totally forgotten about that song. Thank you for bringing it up.
Here’s a great video of that song with lots of pictures from Hamburg. It makes me want to go re-read the time machine thread. {Time lapse} Well, I started this post over an hour ago. I looked up the time travel thread and saw that we had three. I combined two of them. https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..e-beatles/
I’ll have a new trivia question soon. Please add one if you think of something. Also, I will be posting some links and/or copying over some other song trivia ideas from other threads. I wish I had found this thread earlier. This is right up my alley!

I hope this is correct I’ll probably mess it up.
Name the two songs that follow each other both chronologically (original UK albums and single release dates (so not just 1963 but the LPs and single listings, no compilations)) and alphabetically (ie if you were to list all the Beatles songs in alphabetical order a to z ignoring “the”, “a”, “an”).
Going by the same criteria as above what are the only two going z to a.

Is this the one going A to Z and chronologically?
I Feel Fine came out 27 November 1964 and comes alphabetically before If I Fell which came out as a single on 4 December 1964: from Joe’s page “A rare UK single, with Tell Me Why on the b-side, was pressed in the UK by EMI and released on 4 December 1964. It was made for export purposes, but a number of record dealers began shipping the discs back into the UK for resale. The catalogue number was Parlophone DP 562″.
But I don’t know. If I Fell came out on AHDN earlier that year 10 July 1964.
Is this a trick question and those two songs are the answer to both questions?
Or…are we back at square one with the answer?
