Nice topic. I’m assuming the bolded titles are the preferred ones:

Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You

Please Please Me / Ask Me Why

From Me To You / Thank You Girl

She Loves You / I’ll Get You

I Want To Hold Your Hand / This Boy

Can’t Buy Me Love / You Can’t Do That

A Hard Day’s Night / Things We Said Today

I Feel Fine / She’s A Woman

Ticket To Ride / Yes It Is

Help ! / I’m Down

Day Tripper / We Can Work It Out

Paperback Writer / Rain

Yellow Submarine / Eleanor Rigby

Penny Lane / Strawberry Fields Forever

All You Need Is Love / Baby You’re a Rich Man

Hello, Goodbye / I Am The Walrus

Lady Madonna / The Inner Light

Hey Jude / Revolution

Get Back / Don’t Let Me Down

The Ballad Of John And Yoko / Old Brown Shoe

Something / Come Together

Let It Be / You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)

B-sides take it, 13-9!

Hardest decision: Between “Help !” and “I'm Down”

Easiest decision: “She Loves You ” fully deserves its iconic status, whereas “I'll Get You” I never liked much at all, and I've owned the single since I was six – it was my Mum's originally, and apparently fairly scarce (Canadian Capitol label)

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

My hardest decision was between “Can't Buy Me Love” and “You Can't Do That” + “I Want To Hold Your Hand ” and “This Boy “. Easiest however, was between “Let It Be ” and “You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)”. You are right, the bolded titles are the most preferred once.

Love Me Do  / P.S. I Love You (LMD is somewhat plodding to my ears)

Please Please Me  / Ask Me Why (no brainer: turbo-charged Lennon McCartney original vs milquetoast cover)

From Me To You  / Thank You Girl

She Loves You  / I'll Get You

I Want To Hold Your Hand  / This Boy (the song that changed the world vs some nice harmonies)

Can't Buy Me Love / You Can't Do That (I think they were right to ax YCDT from the movie)

A Hard Day's Night / Things We Said Today

I Feel Fine  / She's a Woman (close)

Ticket To Ride  / Yes It Is

Help ! / I'm Down

Day Tripper We Can Work It Out (sorry – dead heat)

Paperback Writer Rain

Yellow Submarine Eleanor Rigby (YS if young kids are around)

Penny Lane Strawberry Fields Forever (One of the most uplifting songs in the Beatles' cannon vs introspective psychedelia)

All You Need Is Love  / Baby You're a Rich Man

Hello, Goodbye I Am The Walrus

Lady Madonna  / The Inner Light

Hey Jude  / Revolution (dead heat again)

Get Back  / Don't Let Me Down

The Ballad Of John And Yoko  / Old Brown Shoe

Something  / Come Together (close)

Let It Be  / You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)

"Into the Sky with Diamonds" (the Beatles and the Race to the Moon – a history)
