She’s Leaving Home . I almost always skip it and I’m never like “oh hey I REALLY want to listen to She’s Leaving Home ! Yeah!” Otherwise, I’m pretty okay with most Beatles songs, just depending on the mood I’m in.

The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill . Would be one of the first to go if the White Album was 1 disc. Pure throw away lyrics with little to save it apart from the end fade section with the mellotron and what always sounds like whistling to me. Plus Yoko’s line is grating to say the least.

I like most of their songs, but I have a certain placement for Let it Be and The Long And Winding Road below the other songs. The way they were mixed of which the Beatles themselves disagreed with (except for John) seemed to do it for me, considering the Naked versions and anthology versions are much more listenable. I used to have a couple songs on the White Album I didn’t appreciate, but I suppose hearing acoustic demos or listening to the song really well helps fix that problem.

There are two aspects to listing a top ten:
a) finding ten better than all the rest (very difficult with such a massive treasure of songs)
b) putting them in order with #1 best of all, etc.
So here goes:
1) Penny Lane
7) Lady Madonna
8) Sgt Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band
10) Girl

Sometimes I tend to skip tracks which already exist in the other albums like Get Back /All You Need Is Love and etc. Depending on the mood I can bear listening to Little Child , Wild Honey Pie , Slowdown and Matchbox . Revolution 9 is a magnum opus so…
I can’t listen to What’s The New Mary Jane when I am alone, a part of the song gives me the chills when I am alone lol.

Love Me Do , Rocky Raccoon , Wild Honey Pie , Revolution 1 and 9 (I really prefer the single version of Revolution 1 , the album version is sooo slow and dull), Yer Blues , Kansas City , Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby (I hate the rythm), Dig A Pony , Dig it, One After 909 , Little Child , and there are probably some more. Oops.

Honestly, I have a certain love for all their songs simply because they’re Beatles songs. But there is one particular song that comes to mind that I just can’t do: Blue Jay Way . My mom told me a story of when she heard that song when she was alone and it freaked her out so now whenever I hear it, it just gives me the creeps. The whole vibe of it is weird to me. I even skip that part when I watch MMT.
Other than that, ones I’m not crazy about our usually skip are: Mr. Moonlight, Her Majesty , I Want You (She’s So Heavy), Bungalow Bill, most of Ringo’s songs (Sorry Ringo, but I have to be in the right mod for you) and most of Yellow Submarine . I have this weird love of All Together Now , though. It just makes me happy
I know there’s more but those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
I can completely understand why people don’t like Run For Your Life . I don’t like it because of the lyrics myself. I just think it’s catchy and it gets stuck in my head. Plus, I just like the sound.

The only ones I skip on a regular basis are Mr. Moonlight (which is ghastly), and Revolution 9 (which I can listen to maybe once a year). Otherwise, I listen to them all.

Just curious… have you heard it in mono. Its a different tune… and a better one at that.

Good point. I like both version, but the mono version is more sprightly and how they originally intended it to sound.

^^ Oh, wow, thanks for alerting us to that. I just listened on YouTube (I know, not ideal) and that was a revelation. And it’s already one of my favorite songs.

Hmmm, Revolution 9 . There are only some moments when I actually listen to it all the way. I always listen to it when I’m doing a complete run through of the White Album . I do have to give it praise that it smoothly leads into Goodnight.
And if you saw my love, I'll love her to.

Two that really stick out for me are Mr Moonlight , and Run For Your Life . They just do nothing for me.

Even when I’m listening to full albums I skip the songs I don’t like.
I know I’ve mentioned Rocky Raccoon before. I just listened to the White Album (except for Yer Blues and Revolution 9 . I didn’t even skip Wild Honey Pie o.O) and I must say RR is starting to grow on me. It’s not THAT bad, but it’s still not in my top 50.

Yer Blues . It’s kinda depressing. And I used to not listen to She’s Leaving Home a lot, but that was only because my mom doesn’t like it. I like it, though, and I’ve been listening to it more- listening to all of Sgt. Pepper more, really- when my mom isn’t around.
