It’s because he hasn’t really done anything noteworthy since 1970. He had the MBE in 1965; there’s no real reason for him to have another honour.

I’d like to say it’s because he’s a tax exile who doesn’t live in the UK, but the same could be said for Sir Tom Jones and plenty of other people who have been knighted.

Offline I was so confused because he has been knighted, but it was in 2018 and this thread started in 2012. I’m kind of disappointed with those who originally posted for not being psychic and knowing that Ringo would get knighted only 6 years later.
