Sigh – still kicking myself I missed his tour down here a few years back. Feeling great for everyone who can go though.
Hey, not everyone here can get there. The closest concert to me is 186 miles (roughly 300 km) away from where I live.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.
Most likely to post things that make you go hmm... 2015, 2016, 2017.

Pretty much how far I go for every concert (U2, Neil Young etc). It’s a trek to Sydney and back. Virtually no one comes to Canberra.

I called my mom on the phone to tell her about the tour and where he was playing (like three of the shows aren’t that bad of a drive from where I live), and she told me at first she thought I was going to say Paul released tour dates and was actually excited but that when I told her it was Ringo who released new tour dates all the excitement dissipated and that she doesn’t want to see him again.
I’m not as upset about not being able to see Richard this year as I am in my mother’s low expectations for Richard as an entertainer.

Are you referring to the Worcester show? I see he is there the night before he comes down here. Hope you get a chance to see him. His show is fun.

To anyone who’s seen him before, what’s the show like? How is he as a performer and not just a singer? I can bet he engages the audience well, but I’m still curious on what everyone’s who’s actually seen him thinks. I know we’re all Beatles fans, but what about for someone who’s more casual in liking that music?

It’s basically Ringo and his pals doing the hits of yesteryear. Ringo generates a lot of good energy. I felt very happy after seeing him. I smiled and had a good time, and I was even participating and singing along at one point (Yellow Submarine ?), which I think shocked my wife. I am usually very reserved.

I had a superb experience at Ringo’s concert. Not being a longtime fan of rock music in general, I didn’t know a lot of the songs from the other band members, but all of them were having such a good time that it rubbed off on the audience. Yep, Ringo will make you smile.

Why yes, yes I am I’m hoping I’ll be able to see him too, if so it would be my very first concert!
EDIT: Found out the prices for the show for tickets. Holy crap, might as well start saving up my money now… Never realized concert tickets can be up to $700

$700 for Ringo tix? I love the guy, but if I had to pay $700 to see him I’d just as soon stay home. For the arena he is playing down here, the price range is $46 – $150.
Try the Ticketmaster website – it says the price range for the Worcester show is $55 – $125. Hope that helps. Seeing a Beatle as your first concert would be cool.

I’ve seen him on lots of his tours and had some pretty great seats and never paid that much for them! I just looked at one of the venues on sale and I could get second row for just under $300. Last time I saw him I was in the middle of the venue, center, and paid I think $125?
This $700 seat must be coming from a broker, not right from Ticketmaster. I saw broker seats just now for that much and more, for venues that aren’t even on sale yet.

I’m happy to sit on the sidewalk outside the place as long as it means I can 1. hear him and 2. get a small glimpse of him over the heads of other people.
I’ll probably have a nervous breakdown from seeing one of my GODS.

Oh thank god! If we had to pay $700 for damn tickets, I’d probably drive myself insane. Merci! 🙂

If I go, I’m probably going to be standing on anything I can. I’m short, I won’t be able to see a thing if someone 5’5 is standing in front of me!

Apparently! And for someone who’s 5’1 (almost 5’2) I still wouldn’t be able to see standing on my tippy toes!
