He can’t deny you. He’s all about Peace & Love, and so is your painting.
You might also want to tell him that Maureen was always your favorite Beatle wife. There’s no way Pattie would find out.
I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

I think Barbara would be a better bet!
And if I have the opportunity to tell him anything that’ll be good enough, no signature necessary. Although one can dream…

@Mr. Kite, I think he will see it and love it even if he doesn’t sign it. Take it for his sake.

I know what you mean. I felt that way when I was going to see him. Do not curb your enthusiasm. Have a great time!

Yeah, I’ll take it. Maybe I’ll get a “Groovy poster,” or something between songs.

Good point, Anna!
So I do regret not bringing in my painting because he looked right at me multiple times (which is good enough really), and probably would’ve said something. But he doesn’t seem like he’s stopping anytime soon so that means there should be a next time.
(Note to self: Listen to @Ahhh Girl)
The show was amazing! I enjoyed all the songs by the All Starr Band and was surprised I knew some. Ringo was just great, very energetic, jumping around, and his singing was also pretty amazing. Just being that close to a Beatle was cool enough! I actually enjoyed the tandem drumming, which is something I was reluctant of going in. They were playing different things half the time, so I could tell what Ringo was doing, and they complemented each other and the song so well. The songs Ringo chose to sing were all great, the only one I wish he added would be Octopus’s Garden . During Photograph he was kneeling down on the stage singing to get in a bunch of lucky people’s selfies.
Ringo aside, Todd Rundgren was probably the star of the show. He was hilarious, dancing around, making faces, and he sang, played guitar, bass, harmonica, piano, and percussion during different points in the show.
The lead guitarist was really good, and did the Santana parts (3 great songs) perfectly, for the ‘George’ guitar parts he did it differently, but it was still enjoyable.
The bass player was good, and was a really great singer as well. And the sax guy fit well into everything.
The whole band was just wonderful, they put on a great show. My seat was really close to the front, closer than I thought, so that was really nice, I’ll put up some video whenever I can edit it together.
In the end Ringo threw something out into the audience that he was wearing, and Todd threw out a few picks (not very far sadly, wish I got one ).
It was a great show, and a great night!
Edit: and I hope this is coherent. I’m really tired!

I forgot to mention a Lennonesque moment when he told someone in the audience to, “Shut up! … But I mean that in a Peace an Love way. “

I do wish the two ex-Beatles would look further afield than America (North and South) with a few other locations thrown in every Now And Then .

The odd thing is that the URL to the Examiner article contains Europe, but no dates there have been announced.

Maybe its that way in case there are later announcements of European tours and it would be easier to group together somehow.
There must be thousands of fans outside America desperate and dying to see Ringo so its a shame that he concentrates so much on one area of the world, even if it is pretty big.

Yeah Todd was incredible when I saw them in Melbourne Feb 2013. Running around singing his head off, he was great. Steve Lukather did his Toto bit and I’m ashamed to say I sang along to Africa To be honest, I was very shy and didn’t rush up to the stage like my Beatlemaniac friend during Photograph. I was really impressed with the band too. The bassplayer was Richard Page and god what a voice he has. They got Pat Mastelotto to drum with Ringo on With A Little Help From My Friends (he pointed at ME squealed my friend), and there were a few local big names banging tambourines etc.
I remember Ringo making jokes about his albums not selling “but I’m sure you all have them right *wink* *wink*” and he made a little peace and love speech at the end which got everyone a bit soggy and we all sang Give Peace A Chance . So it’s nice to see that he largely kept the same band for you Mr Kite because they were really good.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.
