One of Ringo’s shows schedule for October has been canceled. Hopefully it doesn’t affect anyone here:

Ringo Starr ‘s press office confirmed Aug. 4 that the Ringo Starr All-Starr Band concert scheduled for Oct. 12 at Snowden Grove Amphitheater in Southaven, Mississippi has just been canceled because of travel issues. “They hope to make it back there on a future tour,” Ringo’s press representative told Beatles Examiner.

No other shows on the tour have been canceled, according to current information. The concert was one of 16 shows set for an October mini-tour by the All-Starr Band, who just completed a series of U.S. dates in July. The shows in the Midwest and South were to cover Nebraska, Texas, Mississippi, South Carolina and Florida. The additional shows were announced in June.

From The Examiner:

Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band have added a new show to their tour to fill the spot of a show recently canceled, it was announced Wednesday. The new show will take place at 8 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas.

This is actually the second All-Starr Band show at the venue on this tour. The band is also playing there four days earlier on Oct. 8. That show is sold out. Tickets for the new show go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 15, according to the venue website.

How did I miss that he came back to the Dallas area? Oh well, probably didn’t have the money to go anyway.

So as I mentioned, quickly in fear of jinxing it, a while ago, I was able to get tickets to go to the show in Ft. Laud on Tuesday! And we have more stuff we need to bring up here anyway so it makes perfect sense to go down now, not just for the show.

I’m really excited! And curious… does anyone think there’s any chance of him signing my painting if I brought it to the show?

Image Enlarger

Does Ringo ever do that stuff or does he just leave it to Paul?

If he did, that yellow spot would be perfect for a signature and would make that painting so much more special to me. Any chance?

Ringo stopped signing autographs for anything other than his charity back in… 2011,  think.

I knew he was like that with fan mail, but I didn’t remember if he didn’t sign in person.

Still tempted to bring it, but shouldn’t if it’s pointless.

Will you be close enough for him to see it if you hold it up? That might be worth the effort.

@parlance

That’s what I was thinking. It may actually be good I missed him the first time, because those seats were pretty far back, but now I believe they’re row 15. So he could probably see it if others aren’t blocking the view from the stage.

Since I’m only 6 and a half hours away (a-hard-days-night-ringo-10) I should probably decide ’bout my painting. I mean, I’m sure a Ringo concert will be a giant mosh pit, so should I bring it when he probably won’t see it anyway?

Btw… RINGO!

I feel like I’m too excited about this, but I don’t care. a-hard-days-night-paul-11
