One of my all time Top 10 favourite albums, Ringo appears on five tracks, George pops up on one and there’s Beatles luminaries Klaus Voormann and Nicky Hopkins to enjoy too. Just a tremendous, infectious bundle of joy that deserves better recognition IMO. Not a weak track anywhere, though cheese is apparent quite deliberately all in the name of fun. Anyone else know and like this?

I’m more of a fan of his earlier albums, but Nilsson Schmilsson and Son of Schmilsson are fun listens and the famous names that play across them are impressive too. I can’t really decide on a favourite from SoS, maybe Joy or the infamous You’re Breaking My Heart…
Of all Harry’s collaborations with the solo Beatles in the early-mid 70s, my favourite has to be his backing vocals on Ringo’s cover of Only You (which also features John). Quite a sweet nod to his future wife Una.

Yep, the “ooh la la la” BVs at the end are Harry.
I’ve never been able to get into Son Of Schmilsson. I love, love, love his early stuff, but SOS is, IMO, his only bad album before Pussy Cats. I’ve tried and tried with it, and even bought an expensive MoFi version on vinyl, but the only song I really like is the sublime Remember (Christmas).

Remember (Christmas) features in the film You’ve Got Mail! As well as a few other Nilsson songs. I watched this very recently for the first time as I’m heading to New York soon! (I’ve always loved When Harry Met Sally for the same cosy NYC vibes)
I think it's great you're going through a phase,
and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple
