Also I remember reading something about how people with blue eyes don’t have the protection against bright lights than brown eyes. Personally I have a problem with bright lights. Sometimes even sunglasses just aren’t enough.
What about green eyes? Are they protected?

Maybe. I don’t know, but since they’re usually greenish shades of hazel or grey or brown, I would suppose so, unless they were really light.

If you have blue eyes and don’t at least think you are cute you may be doing it wrong!

I’m not entirely convinced I could ever do it right. My eye colour is about the only thing I like and even that’s started to look a bit dull and horrible.
Anyway Maybe he just knows what the rest of us do: The sunglasses make him look really cool and mysterious.

There are some photos in which he wears shades that show his eyes. He tends to look quite good, though I think the combination of that tan, the short hair and the sharp suit definitely help him look his best. Paul tends to keep his hair longish and dyed, which very well may make him look older than needed.
Anyway, I’ve seen some photos of Ringo in which he looks much, much older than Paul. They both look great, though. I do agree I’d like to see Ringo without shades. And earrings…

During Anthology, I could be wrong, but I seem to remember a contemporary quick shot of Ringo sitting at the drums wearing regular glasses. I think before the shot which was in a house, someone entered with what looked like a six pack. I haven’t seen anthology in some time so I am not sure which episode had the shot. I hope I am not sending people on a wild goose chase.

That someone was George, and it was not a sixpack, but soup It’s the Real Love music video and yes, Ringo is shown wearing regular glasses at 0:57

Thank you for locating the footage. I thought I remembered seeing Ringo with regular glasses.

Still doesn’t explain why though. I wish he’d take them off, because I’m about to start a drawing of him, and I’d like to get the colour of his eyes as accurate as possible. I mean; all blue eyes aren’t the same, y’know? Oh well, can always stick to black and grey pencils, but I kind of liked the idea of using colour, since people would sometimes mention how blue his eyes are.
Off topic, does anyone know what happened to Paul’s eyes? It’s obvious they’re losing pigment, but when did it start? I hope it’s nothing to worry about. Sure is a pity though; I liked his hazel eyes. They’re more blue-green with a few brown specks now…
Anyway, a good-quality colour photo, large enough to really see the colour and patterns in Ringo’s eyes would be most welcome.

It started in the later half of the sixties.

So then my mind didn’t play tricks on me when I thought I saw a lighter shade at the outer edge of his irises. I thought I was seeing things…
@sigh butterfly Thanks. I’ve finished my drawing of Ringo. George wasn’t lying when he said Ringo’s eyes were very blue!

I have blue eyes and even if the sun isn’t out i can’t see because it’s so bright. My teachers allow me to wear sunglasses in class (which is against school rules) because I literally can’t see when the lights are on, it hurts to open my eyes. I also have photic sneeze reflex so I excessively sneeze in light. sunglasses help a little bit but i still sneeze. One time I was on stage sitting down and preforming with a choir that was behind me. The lighting guy put the lights right in my face suddenly and I sneezed and hit my face into the mic while the choir behind me was singing. That choir wont preform with me anymore.

I don’t think that photic sensitivity is only because of blue eyes. Think of all the actors that have blue eyes —
Mark Harmon
Tony Curtis
Paul Newman
Neil Patrick Harris
Julie Andrews
Tim Allen
Meg Ryan
Owen Wilson
Jennifer Lawrence
Meryl Streep
Richard Harris
Christopher Plummer
David McCallum
Judd Hirsch
Chad Everett
Woody Harrelson
Reese Witherspoon
Bella Lugosi
Leonardo DiCaprio
Greg Kinnear…
I’ve never heard anything about any of these celebs having special eye sensitivity.
Now today I find, you have changed your mind
