I find Postcards from Paradise to be a horrible embarrassment to me as a fan of Richard. I don’t understand how anybody could like it. It’s just a bunch of song titles strung together to make a song. Really every song on this album is pretty bad (what they do to his voice does not help the situation), but this song takes the cake for worst Richard song ever recorded. I don’t even have to hear all his music to know this, either.

You might want to hear the rest of his music before you make that claim. You might like Postcards from Paradise better than Living in a Pet Shop, for example. (Living in a Pet Shop is one of my favorites, but if you hate Postcards from Paradise, my bet is you would really hate Living in a Pet Shop).

I saw the title of that song and immediately knew I would love it. It’s still pretty bad, but in a very enjoyable way. Plus, it was before Richy started altering his voice on his records (that bothers me a lot).
EDIT: Also, that song is apparently from a children’s album, so it would have gotten a slide if I hated it more than Postcards From Paradise (but I don’t)

Why doesn’t Ringo move out of the pet shop?

Because he’s Scouse the Mouse and he is locked up in a cage, but he escapes later in the album and moves to America to be a performer.

What about the fact that he took a song from Scouse the Mouse for one of his albums and just changed the words from “mouse” to “man”? That seems pretty bad to me…but I’m not about to run through all his poor choices just to prove there are worse songs than Postcards.
