I think it’s just the reality of the music business now that record companies have to be crafty with their marketing. These aren’t meant to be exclusive editions, it’s just ways to get anticipation up for the album while reaching the audience across various outlets.

Sorry but would it not just be easier to release the damn album or make it all available for streaming in one place than making each song available on different websites meaning we have to run around finding them?
Surely I cant be the only one thinking “just give me the fecking music and stop all this bollocks”? Have we finally reached the limits of having 45 different “exclusive” versions with bonus goodies at different stores depending on the day of the week that we now have to put up with albums being dripped out to 12 different sites which we have to visit to hear the music.
I’m pretending it’s 20 years ago and waiting for the album to come out to hear it.

I have it stored on my mp3 player. I am saving it for the long flight to London. I’ll have it and some shows from @Into the Sky with Diamonds to keep me company on the trip.

Maybe it’ll grow on me, but I only thought a few of the songs were good. It wasn’t bad…just kind of what you would expect from a Ringo album. I think he’s done better in the last 15 years.

Q magazine review for Postcards from Paradise:
Still fab, and getting better: 11 thumpingly likable toe-tappers. The bad news is that Ringo’s singing is no better than when he honked through Boys on The Beatles first album, 52 years ago. The good news is that, despite pushing 75, it’s no worse. And the really good news is that it is his best album since 2005’s Choose Love. Song quality is key; at home writing cheery or wistful postcards rather than deep and meaningful navel-gazing, Ringo had yarns to spin, vibes to spread and lucky stars to thank, and is surrounded by such top-notch musos as Joe Walsh, Benmont Tench, Dave Stewart, Richard Marx, Peter Frampton, Steve Lukather, Todd Rundgren and Glen Ballard to help the memories conga out of the grooves or link arms and sway. And those puddingy drums still wallop, a pleasure in itself. (Three stars) Download: Bamboula, Postcards from Paradise, Rory and the Hurricanes, Confirmation. – By Mat Snow.

Listening to this album for the first time today, in honour of Ringo’s anniversary of birth, and I especially like the title track and Island In The Sun.
I counted the Beatles song titles in ‘Postcards From Paradise’, and there are twenty-seven; plus his mentions of ‘I’m The Greatest’ and ‘Back Of Boogaloo’. Little Girl keeps asking me to play it again.

Chris Carter (Breakfast with the Beatles on Sirius/XM) played rain songs this morning and included Rory and the Hurricanes. On this date in 1964, the Beatles were diverted to Key West because of Hurricane Dora. Joe’s page: https://www.beatlesbible.com/1…..al-canada/ (you joker, you, Paul McCartney )
If you don’t do some swinging or moving about while listening to this song, I think I need to come take your Beatles temperature.

Heard the title track of this for the first time on Beatles radio. It’s honestly horrific like a brand new 14 year old Beatles’ fan wrote it, trying to shove in as many references as possible.
I sensed you there and everywhere
Until I saw you standing there
I am the greatest fan of you
And love is All I’ve Got To Do
It’s All Too Much my Little Child
If you will be my Honey Pie
Eight Days A Week you will be mine
And get in bed all of the timeI’m begging you Don’t Pass Me By
And if you do please tell me why
I know you told me yesterday
You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away
But if your honey is bad to me
It told me “love and let it be”Postcards from Paradise
With all my love and I’ll be true
Postcards from Paradise
As ever P.S. I love youPostcards from ParadiseI would not treat you For No One
I see your face Here Comes The Sun
And I am going Nowhere Man
Because I Want To Hold Your Hand
It’s like I said the night before
I’ll love you when I’m sixty fourPostcards from ParadiseWith all my love and I’ll be truePostcards from ParadiseAs ever P.S. I love youPostcards from ParadiseI know that We Can Work It OutThere ain’t no need of Twist And ShoutAnd I won’t back off boogalooUnless you say you Love Me Do

I’ve always felt the same way. He just shoved in all these Beatles references and didn’t even do it well. I don’t think any effort went into it. The lyrics don’t even make sense.

The songs crap, the lyrics are worse and the singing is awful.
To be fair, if you take that away then you are left with something that’s still crap. That’s some achievement for one song.
