And here’s a review referenced in the Examiner.
Not being attuned to drumming, I didn’t realize that “play it like Ringo” had become a phrase in the drumming world – in which case Ringo’s getting the perfect award.
This article nails much of what I was on about in my Ringo thing, glad I’m not alone.

Ahhh Girl, Beatlebug, LittleBeatlemaniac, C.R.A.I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

Here’s what Ringo had to say about his induction during a recent interview.
Earlier this year, you were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist. How important was that to you?
It made me feel good. We were in as a band, but I thought it was about time I was in as a solo artist. What was even better than the award was that I got to play with all those great players. Paul got up and played – actually inducted me as you well know – and Joe (Walsh) came out. I got to play with Green Day. Joan Jett, a beautiful human being, was there and I got to meet her after all this time. It was one of those occasions where a lot goes on – and in my case, it was all good.

Now only thing which is left to be inducted in Hall is Wings, after that Paul will be a 3 times inductee along with clapton.*Ahem* Traveling Wilburys?
^I mean, come on, look how cool they are!
Were the Wilburys to be inducted, they would be the only group with every member at least a 2-time inductee.
EDIT: oops! There is one other band that meets this qualification as of this year 😉
ANOTHER EDIT: I looked for these guys, but CSNY isn’t in there (CSN is): Crosby with the Byrds, Stills with Buffalo Springfield, Nash with the Hollies, and Young solo and with Buffalo Springfield. So actually both CSNY and CSN qualify, but CSNY is not in there as a group itself.
Yes is up for induction this year – I suspect they’ll make it. Also the Smiths, Chaka Khan, and a bunch of others that should be behind a long list of artists like the one @Duke_of_Kirkcaldy posted.

@georgiewood, this may be the post you are thinking about. It is in this thread instead of the “Ringo…a horrible drummer?” Thread.

Ahhh GirlI say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.
