From Classic Hits and Oldies. Deadline is tonight.Ringo Starr is making a video for the title track of his upcoming album, Postcards from Paradise, and he’s seeking a little help from his fans. The ex-Beatles drummer has launched a fun new promotion asking his faithful followers to submit photos of what they consider a depiction of paradise, and some of these images will be chosen to be included in the upcoming promo clip.
You can share your pics via Twitter and Instagram by using the hashtag #RingoPostcardsContest. Don’t wait too long, though — the photos must submitted by 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, February 9. For more details, visit RingoPostcards.com.
Postcards from Paradise, Starr’s 18th studio album, is scheduled to be released on March 31. The record includes contributions from Ringo’s current All Starr Band members: Steve Lukather, Todd Rundgren,Gregg Rolie, Richard Page, Warren Ham and Gregg Bissonette. It also features guest appearances byJoe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Benmont Tench, Dave Stewart, Richard Marx, Nathan East and more.
Ringo and his All Starr Band kick off their latest tour on Friday, February 13, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Am I the only one to see the irony in this – not long ago Ringo told fans to stop sending him requests to send them autographs and pictures etc. – and now he’s asking them to send him pictures.

Annadog40, do you have time to Photoshop me into a picture with Paul? We can keep it PG-13 (tilting towards R) rated. I’ll PM you a picture of myself.
Sure I’ll try my best

Prior to the release of Ringo Starr ‘s upcoming new album, “Postcards From Paradise“, Universal Music have provided Joe Johnson’s Beatle Brunch radio show with the title track, which is also going to be the first single from the album. You may listen to the track by clicking on the Vox amplifier in the upper left corner of the colourful website. It took us a while before the track started to play on our computer. The lyrics are full of references to past songtitles, not uncommon for Ringo – but this was possibly overkill.

From the Examiner:
Ringo Starr announced on his Twitter account @ringostarrmusic March 26 that he’ll do a Twitter Q&A online with Billboard magazine and writer David Wild at 12:45 p.m. PT March 31 to promote his new album, “Postcards From Paradise,” which comes out on that day. “Get your questions ready!,” he wrote. Hash tag for the question is #AskRingo.
The Beatle also will make two upcoming appearances on U.S. TV. He’ll appear on “Ellen” on Tuesday, the day of the album’s release, and on “Conan” on April 1. Both shows, by the way, are taped on the Warner Bros. lot in Hollywood.

Sorry but would it not just be easier to release the damn album or make it all available for streaming in one place than making each song available on different websites meaning we have to run around finding them?
Surely I cant be the only one thinking “just give me the fecking music and stop all this bollocks”? Have we finally reached the limits of having 45 different “exclusive” versions with bonus goodies at different stores depending on the day of the week that we now have to put up with albums being dripped out to 12 different sites which we have to visit to hear the music.
