Lucky thing! How in the world do you meet both surviving Beatles before the age of thirteen?! a-hard-days-night-paul-3

Perhaps it’s easier to Meet A Beatle! the second time round. a-hard-days-night-ringo-15

Where the highhats and other drums are located. A right hand drum will have the high hat and snare on the left side (from drumming p.o.v)

Yeah, basically the setup (which isn’t symmetrical) is reversed. Keep in mind that Ringo, despite being left-handed, uses a right-handed kit.

Here’s a typical right-handed setup:

It should be remembered that Ringo plays a right-handed kit though. It’s partly that which defines his drumming, as he has to move differently around the kit.

So is it true that John and Paul wanted to replace Pete before Brian asked Ringo to join them? I mean after Ringo replace Pete did Pete ever talk to the Beatles again?

Most likely, as Ringo is arguably the best drummer of all time (or at least the first one that went beyond just keeping the rhythm) and he played with them in 1960.

As far as I know, the Beatles only grabbed Pete as a last chance to get to Hamburg. They always wanted to find a replacement for him, but Mona Best was keeping gigs in order and would’ve stopped if Pete got kicked out.

I don’t know if Pete ever communicated with the other Beatles after getting kicked out.

There was one or two shows where their paths crossed after Pete was sacked but from all accounts i’ve read the Beatles were very sheepish and basically kept out of his way – and Pete did the same.

Brian would never have sacked Pete without John, Paul and George (they were a tight threesome) wanting it, plus Brian would have been worried about the repercussions of the move upon their fan base as Pete had a large fan base. The three got Brian to do their dirty work.

Yeah that sound super light for a grown man, but he’s also only five foot six, so it might be a normal weight.

Ideal weight for a 5’6 male is between 128-156 lbs. Depending on how accurate the article, Ringo appears to be a few pound below the ranges low.
