This is my picture. I took it at Apple (St. James Street) july 7, 1973. My friend Jimi is getting his autograph here. Ringo was cool back then as far as signing goes. Magical moment.

Offline Are there any recent pictures of Richy not wearing sunglasses?
Are they prescription sunglasses or does he mostly just wear them to be cool and because his eyes are sensitive?

In the fabled times it is rumoured that the noisy one would occasionally refer to himself as “Richy”. This is believed to be the spelling used by the Holy Ringo. However, it is difficult to be certain. Much as he became known as the mythical Sunglasses Eyes after his baby blues were rarely seen after 1983AD, his informal signature is a very rare artefact.
It is believed that sometime in 1963AD all examples would be either “Richard Starkey” on official documentation, or “Ringo Starr ” on personal communication, including his letter to the Queen thanking her for the badge.
However, this rare example of familiar use of his name, from near the end of his signing time as such, clearly shows him using a y:
This though is confused by many of the Holy Histories using the “Richie” spelling. But, so far as we can tell, it would seem he spelt it “Richy”, blessed be his name and the Holy Fab Four until the end…”

Offline Does anyone know if Ringo now owns the copyright to his 1970’s albums like ‘Bad Boy ‘ or ‘New Wave’ from the 80’s? I’d like to see a Ringo career spanning compilation, like what Paul is doing tho only probably 2 cd’s as the depth isn’t there, but am not sure its possible due to Ringo being on a variety of different labels over the years.

Well from a complete outsider’s perspective (which isn’t much, only the same as what all of you see) it looks fine? I do think there’s a genuine affection there. I mean they’ll always have that “Beatle bond” having gone through something nobody in the world but the four of them went through and experienced like they did. I imagine it’s like brothers who sometimes argue but are still very close.
