No repackaging and no hell. I’m talking about a lovely multi-disc box set filled with outtakes and demos to celebrate the creation and release of one of the greatest albums ever recorded and released. I’m willing to give Apple allowance to include the outtakes on ‘Anthology’ but there must be 4 x as many outtakes not previously released.
Every other group would.

I’m a fanatic.
I’ve always looked at this album as a whole and not an album that consists of different songs. This is my all-time favorite (not just favorite Beatle album) and I love every song on it. Even Yellow submarine! Even though the songs are different they kinda goes hand in hand.
It also have the best cover. I always found it fascinating that he managed to get it to look Psychedelic in black and white! There is so many details on it.
A few years ago my girlfriend bought me The Tomorrow Never Knows print created and signed by Klaus. If you have’nt seen the print you should google it. It’s gourgously drawn in the same style as the original cover complete with Photo-cutouts and it catches the spirit of the song perfectly.
Revolver is to me as perfect as it can get.

I could not concur more! I can look at Klaus’s art all day long; I’ve stared at this particular cover so long and so often that I’ve ust about memorised every detail, and yet it never ceases to astound me with its detail and cleverness. Klaus did a six-star job.

Happy 50th birthday to my favourite Beatles album and one of my biggest favourites in general. A fantastic album, fantastic sound, not a single dud on it, great artwork..IMO superior to Sgt. Pepper . Still a relevant album in popmusic.
Blasting it right now!

Just you. I doubt anyone on a Beatles forum would like music from 1966.

BeatlebugI say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

If you can stand to read through a pink background, a review I was just reading. He doesn’t get George, no surprise there. Says good things about Ringo, so it almost makes up. Lots of flowery prose though.
Dear Revolver , I listened to you as an album somewhere between my 17th and 18th years for the first time and it still sparkles as much now as it did then. Even after I listened to Pepper and the White Album after that. I consider the White Album to actually follow on from Revolver in many ways. Even the cover is still fun to read. Happy birthday!
@meanmistermustard I’m afraid there can only be one answer to the lack of released extras: Geoff Emerick is hiding them, possibly on an island hideout.

I listened to Revolver for the first time when I was sixteen, in 1980, after listening to Rubber Soul and the Blue Album ; so I didn’t listen to the lads chronologically. After thirty six years the only songs that have stayed with me are Eleanor Rigby , I’m Only Sleeping, Here, There And Everywhere , For No One , and Tomorrow Never Knows . Don’t get me wrong: all songs are good; these are the ones that still “say something” to me.
At that time I hoped my life would be an endless Here, There And Everywhere , but alas, it’s been For No One …
