I’m using iTunes now too, playing the music over my Mac’s internal speakers. Not perfect by any means and the nuances are much better audible on my iPod. Alas, those Apple ear buds don’t fit my ears properly and I end up with sores in my ears, which is very painful In time, I’ll find myself some proper headphones and some proper speakers.Your gonna have to break the bank and get some ear muff headphones. I absolutely love my “beats” headphones, but you can get some cheaper ones that will still sound better than the apple headphones without the sores.
Still better bang for your buck compared to computer speakers!
Yeah, no way in hell am I going to pay €250-300 for a pair of headphones, though. That’s 1/3 of a month’s income for me! I think I’ll go for something 1/10th that amount. Should still sound okay

I actually decided to play a Beatles “record” last night and had to laugh at the ticks, scratches & pops, but it definitely had a fun feeling of nostalgia.
I much prefer my CD/iTunes quality sound but wonder if there is a software program that would add fake ticks & pops at the beginning/end of a song.
***Not saying that’s the best way to listen to The Beatles!

YEAAAAAAHHHH
I recently experienced that for the first time. It was truly the best way I’d ever listened to the Beatles.
The second-best way is to do like Lady Madonna– listen to the music playing in your head.

On a boat.
With a goat.
In the rain.
On a train.
In the dark.
In a tree.
In a car.
In a box.
With a fox.
In a house.
With a mouse.
At least, that is how Dr. Suess does it.

Ok, I can’t believe nobody quoted James Bond: “My dear girl, there are some things that just aren’t done, such as drinking Dom Perignon ’53 above the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s just as bad as listening to the Beatles without earmuffs

Not necessarily true. If you, like Lady Madonna , ‘listen to the music playing in your head’, ears are not required.
