Hello everyone! I’m currently looking to buy a vintage Framus Hootenanny 12 string just like the one Lennon used during Help . It’s mainly for my dad as his current 12 string has been unplayable for quite some time now, and I’d like to find this guitar so I can get it for him for Christmas. If anyone out there has one or knows where one can be found, let me know and I’ll look forward to working out a deal that works well for both of us!

I wouldn’t if I were you, as they aren’t the easiest things to find and when you do find one, they’re expensive (the cheapest one currently on eBay is over $5,000) and I’ve heard that they aren’t the most reliable instruments either. If you want to get your dad a acoustic 12 string, I recommend going into your local Guitar Center and buying him one of the 12 strings in their acoustic department. If you’re dad’s into Beatle guitars, I think a much better surprise would be buying a Strat (I’d typically recommend a used Fender Mexican Standard Stratocaster, but in this case, I’d recommend a used Squier Classic Vibe) and painting it just like Rocky, although I’d do the paint job at a friends house so he doesn’t know about it until Christmas.
