Hello!
I’m new to this community, my name is Matteo, I’m from Italy and I’m a huge Beatles fan. During last week I noticed no one ever made a playlist with all the Beatles songs ordered by their recording date, so I decided to make myself one.
This is the Spotify link: utm_source=copy-link
Still I don’t think my work is complete. There are some takes from Anthology and Deluxe editions I couldn’t put in the playlist, and I’m not that sure my order is correct, especially for their latest songs.
Unlike their early days, where they managed to complete a song just in one or two sessions, from 1966/1967 onwards it could take some weeks for them to finish a song due to overdubs and other effects. For this reason, White Album , Abbey Road and Let It Be songs are ordered by the date they finished recording them instead of the date they started working on them.
If you have any suggestion, please reply to this topic, I’ll have a look and try to answer to your questions, if you have any. Thank you for your collaboration 🙂

You should get a book like Mark Lewisohn’s ‘Recording Sessions’ and/or ‘The Unreleased Beatles’ by Richard Unterberg; both are invaluable sources, tho there are many others out which would be of similar use. Would help your quest to sort them into order, they did mine. It gets far more complicated later on due to the outtakes and remixes (from then and more recently).
