Aw, yeah. Now you have hit upon the kind of question he would answer one of these months.

Paul, you’re one of the most famous people in the World, if you want to walk around Disneyland with the kids with no one bugging you ask and they will probably close the place down for a couple of hours. Now, how about speaking to those who set the monthly question and get some decent ones answered.

I’m sure he has the money to shut down Disneyland, anyway, so it’s not that intagible for him. I feel a bit disappointed with his answers on the whole.

Its very much a missed opportunity, just think the questions that could have been posed, instead we get questions like what’s his favourite vegetable?

Personally i feel that following a celeb on twitter is pretty much pointless as its mainly used to promote/highlight their work. I stay away from such media interaction as if its real news it will be reported somewhere online and Parlance will tell me.

Surely there is no need to?

To be honest, I generally feel the same about twitter. I’ve had my account for ages, but I never use it unless I’m keeping up with a musician. Or I have a burning need to share an insightful link. But there’s so much chatter, I figure it gets lost anyway.

Surely that depends on the people you have on there as ”friends”, though. I used to have a fb account, though I didn’t use it much, but I never had any problems in that way. If you have friends who like to pick arguments or make something out of nothing, then you’ll have to be very cautious no matter what social networking site you use.

People are so touchy now a days. I am anonymous on twitter basically. Hardly anyone knows my real name, where I am from, or who I am apart from what I put in the little description. There are only a few friends from fb that we follow each other on twitter. I sometimes miss having updates on other people, but other that I rather keep it this way because its peaceful.

The biggest bugbear with any social media is the damn invites from people to like, poke, smack, invite, beat, hug them so the number of friends, followers or whatever the heck it is goes up and they can boast.
If i don’t know you, you don’t know me, we have never been in contact ,and know nothing about each other, why the hell are you trying to get me to “like” you? GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and those who tweet or update that they are eating a sandwich, getting a blueberry muffin, going to the bathroom etc need to have their phone taken off them and thrown into the sea.

ROFL
Main problem with Facebook? In a nutshell, too many people! Everyone and their mama has one, including pets and grandmothers that shouldn’t have one.

From Paul’s site:
To celebrate the tour PaulMcCartney.com sat down with Paul to do a Japan-related Q&A, including Japanese fan questions submitted through ‘You Gave Me The Answer’. We posted five of the Q&As in English and Japanese during Paul’s tour and now, for this month’s ‘You Gave Me The Answer’, we publish the sixth and final one. The question was submitted by Emi, who asks:
“Where do you write your songs?”
Just before leaving for Japan Paul told us:
“To write my songs I find a quiet corner of the house so I can develop it in private. Then, when I think they are finished, I can come out and play them to my family and friends. So the song may be written in the cellar or an attic, some sort of quiet room or my music room at home.”

Every family has their own Christmas traditions that make this time of year so special. Here at the PaulMcCartney.com office we enjoy doing a Secret Santa and are partial to a Christmas jumper or two!
Paul loves spending time with his family during the holidays so we were pleased when we spotted a question from Karen Thomas in Texas asking about his Christmas. She asks:
“The holiday season is here – what are some of your favourite family traditions?”
We spoke with Paul last week to find out what he and his family will be up to this year. He replied:
“Thank you for your question Karen and a very Merry Christmas to you! We have many family traditions but favourites include cutting the veggie roast, decorating the tree and having the family all together.”

For January:
Only one month into 2014 and here at PaulMcCartney.com we are already thinking what a great year it has been!
Earlier this month we announced Paul’s nomination for ‘Best Solo Artist’ at this year’s NME Awards. (You can cast your vote for the award at NME’s website HERE!) He was also nominated for four awards at the 2014 GRAMMY Awards.
As well as scooping up all four GRAMMYs this past Sunday – his biggest ever win at the ceremony – Paul also found time to perform his single ‘Queenie Eye ’ from the ‘NEW’ album alongside Ringo Starr .
Together they received the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recognising The Beatles’ contribution to popular music, bringing Paul’s tally up to five for the night.
So in just one month Paul has managed to achieve more than most of us could dream of! This ties in nicely with this month’s question submitted by Adam from the USA, who asks:
“If you were ‘Gonna sit right down and write yourself a letter’ what advice would you send back to your younger self about your future?”
We spoke with Paul just before he jetted off to LA and he gave this piece of advice:
“Relax, don’t sweat it. And be true to yourself, kid.”
The night after the GRAMMYs Paul took part in the recording of ‘The Night That Changed America: A GRAMMY Salute to The Beatles’, a TV special to celebrate the anniversary of The Beatles’ first television appearance on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. This will air on Sunday 9th February; the exact same date and time as the original broadcast.
From then to now, and all that came in between, Paul staying ‘true’ to himself has worked out pretty well!
