Love is personal and nobody is a mind reader. But my belief is that Paul moved on long ago, and so did she. We have people in our history but that doesn’t make them always important. If you stop seeing someone or stop doing something you don’t miss it. You learn to live without them/it.

Jane became a very successful baker/cook/author etc and has been happily married for almost 40 years. I highly doubt she looks back in regret wondering what could have been if only she had married Paul.
I’ve got huge respect for Jane for not spending her lifetime talking about her time with Paul, especially nowadays where if a celeb is seen breathing there is someone waiting to sell the stories to the press or shove it on social media.

Paul wanted someone to be more of a home maker, Jane was not that kinda person. I dont think they were compatable in the long run.

Jane choose to remain home for 15 years to raise her children. She started a baking business. Is this not a home maker? And, I do not understand what love has to do with being compatible. If that’s the case there would be a lot of single people in the world. What ended their five year relationship was Paul betrayed her trust. It had nothing to do with Jane working and not being a homemaker.
