‘All You Horse Riders’ always reminds of that awful Black Lace number ‘Superman’ (below in spoiler). I do hope we never discover that ‘AYHR’ was the inspiration of ‘Superman’ as whoever was behind it heard Paul’s track somehow.

Which Paul albums I like depends on my mood, but this is what I was interested in today:Give My Regards To Broad Street
McCartney II
Tug Of War
Return to Pepperland
Pipes Of Peace
Funny, those are all my least fav.
1970-1978 was just amazing music solo/Wings stuff. Back To The Egg was the ending for me, although I absolutely loved “One Of These Days” from McCartney II .
BEATLES Music gives me Eargasms!

I feel a bit silly posting this, but silly is my job. And what is a forum of Beatley people for if not for announcements such as this:

@Expert Textpert As has often been noted, it’s remarkable how Beatle fans can’t agree on what the good and the bad songs are, and McCartney fans can’t agree on the good vs the bad solo McCartney stuff. (There’s another thread on the best McCartney songs.)
And here we have another example: the albums listed by Expert Textpert are also my least favorite ( I don’t even know Return to Pepperland though I have the Pepperland music from Yellow Submarine .) So it goes.
@Beatlebug So excited for you! 🙂

Return to Pepperland is an album that he never released. I think some of the material made it onto Flowers In The Dirt .
For the record, I didn’t say I considered these albums his best material, just that I was in the mood to hear them. I do think they are good albums, and maybe even better than some of his other material, such as Off The Ground , Driving Rain , and Wild Life .

I think this reviewer got it right:

He’s brought more joy to more people than anyone else (in the last 50 years at least).
And yet many of his songs are plenty deep.

Paul McCartney has a lot of DVDs.
I mean he has a lot of DVDs with his name on them for sale. I don’t know how many he has on the shelf at home.

England wants its own national anthem: Should it go with a ‘strange’ Jesus myth or Paul McCartney?
I think they should let Paulie write one.

They should compromise and get Paul McCartney to write a strange song about Jesus.

I sanged along with every word too, difficult though it was to restrain my
AHHH Paul, stahp it yis are makin’ me luv ye too much Them ballads take me out; I already have a weakness for sweet-voiced tenors crooning balladsy lovesongs in me ears whilst fingerplucking away at their lovely acoustic guitars and nobody does it like Paul.
