I’d seen it before, long time ago, I don’t have the DVD yet (*hangs head in shame*) but I thought was pretty good. Damn fine concert, obviously, picture quality looks improved. I’d been reading about massive sound issues on the Blu-Ray but didn’t notice anything too bad on the TV, at least.
You watch?

Got the DVD (*holds up head in pride*) and have gone all out listening to it in Sensurround. A remarkable experience. Should be included in any School of Rock curriculum.

The Palladia TV network has been playing this a lot since the disc was recently released.
I love this network. Among other things, they air the Later…With Jools Holland show. There’s also a really cool show called Live from Daryl’s House that features Darryl Hall from Hall & Oates. He basically has musical guests over to his house and they jam. Sounds unexciting until you watch it. The one with Smokey Robinson was sublime. If your cable/satellite provider carries it, I highly recommend it.
BOT: The disc is awesome. The man knows how to put on a great show.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

No need to be ashamed – I bought the DVD two weeks ago and haven’t watched it yet! Waiting for the right time & circumstances. (I almost viewed it Saturday night but I had a hockey game to watch instead.)
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

^the thing is, for me personally, as much as I love going to concert, live concert DVDs usually hold little interest for me. I prefer to listen to my music and unless I’m *at* the show, I’m not one who is going to repeatedly watch a concert DVD over and over (I have some friends who literally watch the same one on a daily or weekly basis and that boggles my mind!). Typically I’ll watch it once and then it goes on my shelf and collects dust for years.
As for the WOA album, *that* I’ve listened to countless times 8)
