I decided to create a playlist of my favourite McCartney genre: the out-and-out take-no-prisoners throat-shredding rockers. I called it Raw McCartney but I’ve just found out there is/was also a band with that name.
Some rules: no Beatles or Wings, no covers. The only collabs here are with Linda, Youth, and the former Nirvana members.
I’m not sure Gratitude or Caesar Rock really work but I’ll leave them in for now. The rest of it’s absolutely storming, and if it were released as a McCartney album it’d probably be my all time favourite.
Have I missed anything?

Offline A shame that barely Wings album “Wings Wild Life ” has to be binned as a “Wings album”, since “Mumbo” would be screaming to get on the list (literally and figuratively).

Offline I actually nearly added Mumbo, but thought if I included Wings I should probably put the Beatles in too (Helter Skelter ), and I wanted to stick to McCartney’s solo works. Good call though, maybe I’ll let it through anyway.

Does anyone try to argue that Wild Life isn’t a “real” Wings album? If there’s a case for that at all, that could enable squeaking Mumbo through…
