We’ll make you all sign a legally binding document committing you all to behave. NO exceptions!! The good name of Beatles Bible is on the line.

I swear to you on a stack of NEW cds I will behave. I’m am extremely thankful for the 2nd chance. I will not disappoint you, MMM. You are way too valuable to have as a friend/virtual friend. This was your party. I should have been more respectful.

I swear to you, MMM, on my copy of Abbey Road that I will behave.

P.S. cute little picture

You have a lot of songs with the word “Road” in the title.

Road

Long and Winding Road

Lonely Road

Why Don’t We Do It in the Road

Why do you think you keep coming back to that imagery?

parlance

Beware of sadness. It can hit you. It can hurt you. Make you sore and what is more, that is not what you are here for. - George

Check out my fan video for Paul's song "Appreciate" at Vimeo or YouTube.

These aren’t titles, but these lyrics do mention roads:

Dressed in black from head to toe
Two guitars across our backs
We would walk the city roads

You and I have memories
Longer than the road that stretches out ahead

I’d nominate McCartney II , quite experimental at the time but a very good listen, and Flowers In The Dirt , Paul’s return to critical and commercial success no doubt helped by working with Elvis Costello, one of the best artists Paul has written with (after John of coursea-hard-days-night-john-5).
Buried down in the archives is the “Best post-Beatles McCartney songs” where folks here discuss and nominate songs and Relatively new to McCartney–need some help which does the same for the albums (well kind of). There are others if you have a rummage about and don’t mind getting dusty.

Thanks. See, I forgot McCartney II . Now I have to go YouTubing for it, there was a bluesy tune on there I liked for sure, and the single was nice too. I hope I got the quoting right this time, and if anyone hasn’t yet checked out “Cut Me Some Slack” – do it, it rocks. Picture Paul singing Helter Skelter or belting out Oh, Darling live.

Edit: I think I fixed the issues I had with quotes. This forum enables RichText by default. Once I killed that option, this post now looks the way I wanted it to. And thanks for the archive link. I went and dropped my two cents there.

In eight or nine years, if you were to open one of those magazines and see Beatrice in her birthday suit, would you be wondering what young man riding on a bus was singing “She had removed her clothes for the likes of me?”

Paul, do you celebrate Hanukkah along with Christmas? I know Linda was Jewish and believe Nancy is as well.

About a week or two after Paul married Nancy (I was still in mourning), I read an interview on BeatlesNews.com where Paul stated he promised Nancy that he would convert to Judaism. I wonder if he ever did. If I had to guess, I’d say no as he certainly hasn’t had a minute to himself to take the necessary classes and such. Linda was also Jewish and he never converted. I am assuming their children were not raised Jewish???? I wonder if Paul has ever thought about doing a whole Christmas album…with your usual choices (Chestnuts Roasting, White Christmas), plus his song and Happy Christmas by John. I would send him hate mail, though, if I ever heard him singing Frosty the Snowman or Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer!!!

Paul hasn’t sang Rudolph but he has recorded an instrumental version under the title Ruldolph the Red-Nosed Reggae, released on the b-side of Wonderful Christmas. Its a pleasant enough recording if listened to once a year, so same as the a-side. Not sure a Paul version of Happy X-mas would go down well, the seethe from the Lennon lovers would be immense.

Yeah I’ve heard it takes a while to convert to Judaism. Maybe he has and we just don’t know. ahdn_paul_01

That is an interesting, weird take on Rudolph and I probably wouldn’t listen even around Christmas.

How many “copies” of this shirt do you own? Do you just have one and wash it daily? You’ve been wearing it a lot lately. It looks good on you.

To me it looks like a representation of the black and white version of the “NEW” symbol on your new album. You know, trcanberra’s avatar.

Is that the look you were aiming for? I bet it was, you cute little devil, you. You are so detailed oriented and do things with so much purpose and meaning.

Do you think Nancy would write a book for Paul’s fangirls titled Fifty Shades of Violent Chestnut? I’d shell out for the deluxe edition.

Just came back from a weekend spent with family, and the first thing I see is “Fifty Shades of Violent Chestnut.” Yep, back to life, back to reality… a-hard-days-night-george-10
