Most of the time I saw the answer right after the RT of the question. But looking at the link you posted, it appears Paul did answer that Giles question, but it doesn’t show up on his feed unless you expand the link. I don’t spend a lot of time on Twitter and didn’t know it could be so glitchy.

"White Album - My joint-fave Beatles album along with Revolver. They show the two sides of Beatles. Revolver's very controlled - even though it's also very innovative. The White Album's playful and almost ramshackle. It's like a scrapbook kept by a genius. Fantastic stuff."

Offline Seeing as how there was some consternation between Paul & Stu and the fact that Stu was not a good bass guitarist (by his own admission), I’ll bet Paul felt pretty good about it. It was John who didn’t want Stu to leave the group.

Offline I don’t really think it’s as simple as that, and I believe Paul has often expressed as much. He has said before that in wanting Stu out he was thinking about the band, and was sometimes unnecessarily harsh towards Stu, and he has also said – no matter how important a player of the instrument he went on to become – the last thing he wanted was to be the bass player, but John and George refused to take over on the instrument. So while he felt the band was stronger with Stu no longer on bass, he hadn’t planned on himself having to take on the instrument. You have to take into account that the bass was not considered a star instrument on which you could show off your prowess as a musician at that time.
