starrisonsubmarine Paul’s FB page stated they’re looking at new tour dates for 2016, so he definitely plans on going Out There again, although it could be a new tour. I think it’ll just be a continuance of the current one, since there isn’t a new album to promote (yet… I hope there will be!).
I just hope he’ll do another European tour, and do a gig in the Netherlands again. I’ve only ever seen him live once, and I desperately want to experience that magic AT LEAST once more before he retires…

I certainly hope so! I just assumed it was over since his twitter account had pictures from “the last show of the out there tour”. Maybe in fine print there was a *of 2015? A new album would be gear though!
But now I can save up and afford better tickets I really hope he comes back to Europe.

While in that little twilight zone before falling asleep last night, I was thinking about the cities on Paul’s tour calendar. I was trying to think of cities in the Deep South he has visited. Then I got to thinking about the cherry bomb incident in Memphis in 1966. Then in that twilight fog, I wondered if he had been to Memphis again or would go there. Then I woke up enough to remember that I saw him in Memphis in 2013. Duh. Then I got to thinking about how I didn’t know about the Memphis cherry bomb incident when I went to see Paul at the FedEx Forum. I have learned so much about the Beatles since that glorious May 2013 concert!

Who decided that this thread needs a spoiler alert? Has nobody been to a Paul McCartney concert here? I have been to five and they were aLL THE SAME. THERE IS NOTHING TO SPOIL. Also, why would we need a warning that there will be a discussion about his concerts in his tour thread? Should we put spoilers in every thread title in case somebody wants to read a thread about something they don’t want to know anything about? I need answers because every time I see this thread I get upset about the title and it’s interfering with my peace of mind.

The spoiler is the fire during Live And Let Die . If I’m not mistaken Out There was the first tour he did that on. I wouldn’t want to have that spoiled before I went. It was a killer surprise.

I saw him during his On The Run tour in 2010 and he had the pyrotechnics during Live And Let Die at that concert. They are also in the Good Evening New York City video which was recorded the year before I saw him and four years before his Out There tour.

I do agree with this and get that there could be things to spoil if someone has never seen him live, but I still don’t understand why there are spoilers.
If someone wants to be surprised about the concert, why would they read a thread about the tour? Wouldn’t you expect people to write about the(ir) experience(s) relating to the tour in that particular thread? I just don’t understand why we have a spoiler alert to warn people that there are posts within this thread about the title of the topic. Seems kind of strange.

The spoilers were put in when the thread started in case people who had tickets didn’t want to know what changes had been made to the set since the One to One tour.
Why it should suddenly be worth a moan about over four years after the thread was titled I don’t understand.

I wasn’t moaning, man. I’ve been wondering these things for the past four years. I just wanted answers. I get that some people might not have wanted to know about the concerts before they attended one, but WHY WOULD THEY READ THE THREAD ABOUT THE TOUR IF THEY DIDN’T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE TOUR? That’s what I don’t understand. Why would somebody read a thread about something they don’t want to know about? That doesn’t make sense to me.

Because when this thread started, it was about the announcement of the first dates, and people sharing their excitement about the upcoming tour, as the tour got underway, the spoilers came into play as the discussion was no longer about looking forward to the tour but was starting to include reports from the tour that some may have wanted to avoid.

I noticed Paul played Celebration during the Orlando soundcheck a few nights ago (5/28/2022). No one has posted it yet, but I did find this heartfelt version from a 2015 Out There tour soundcheck (29:26). Afterwards someone in the audience hollers “Hope For Deliverance , Paul”. He plays a Holly oldie and then fulfills the request.
