Awww, poor ASJ. We can weep together– I missed him when he came to Greensboro, NC last October. There isn’t any reason left to keep it all inside.

I’ve had a look online but haven’t been able to find the answer anywhere, so hoping someone here knows!

For those going to the UK leg of the tour (specifically those travelling from London to Birmingham/Liverpool in advance of the gigs there), be advised that there is a national train strike scheduled for next week.
It was announced last week and runs from 5:00pm on Monday 25th May to 5:00pm on Tuesday 26th May and will affect all trains and train operators in the UK.
A BBC News report about is can be found here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-32748029
The link below is the Network rail page that might be useful next week, but if you’re planning on travelling on Monday/Tuesday, it’s best to contact the station you’re travelling from well in advance as there may be a limited running service available:

If the concert is on the day of a rail strike forget the trains as it will be utter pandemonium. Find another method of getting to where you want to go to.
If you read my carefully constructed post, you’ll see there are no gigs on the actual days when the strike is to be called, but I was just putting out a general warning as it could harm the travel plans of those who are travelling from London to, say, Birmingham or Liverpool for the other UK dates.
There’s nothing worse than turning up to a station/airport all ready to travel only to be told there’s a strike. I hadn’t noticed any other posts about it so thought I’d better highlight it for those who may be doing all four UK dates.

Oh. I have no idea when Paul is playing in the UK as im not going.Yeah im not bitter.
I’m not sure why you’re being so filppant. I was just trying to be helpful to others on here who may be attending the UK gigs.
I’m heading to Liverpool to see him at the Echo Arena again, and will be unaffected by the strike as I’m travelling down from Glasgow after it’s finished, but thought others who are going to some of the earlier shows might be.

That was a general sarky to everyone not just to yourself @johnnymain and in response to not getting to see Paul when others are. Apologies for the confusion . At times i type and whilst it sounds right in my head it reads to others in the wrong manner.

@johnnymain, have you found a clip of the video on YouTube or somewhere that we could watch? I’ll take a look in a bit to see if I see one. Sorry to be dense, but I am a bit confused by what you mean by “whose”.
Thanks for the transportation issue warning. I hope all the concert ticket holders can get to the venues without too much headache involved.
Enjoy the show in Liverpool. How many times have you see Sir Paul in concert?

“Whose” version of ‘The End ‘ is sung at the very end of McCartney’s current pre-show tape just before he comes on – ie. who sings it?
I’ve seen him twice so far (Glasgow in 2010 and Liverpool at the end of 2011) and this has been used both times, but I can’t find anything online or in a book regarding the version of ‘The End ‘ that’s actually used. It’s definitely a cover of the song but no-one seems to know who actually sings the it. I was just interested to hear the whole version, that’s all.
You can hear it here (at the four minute mark):

Oh, a cover. I should have picked up on that.
If I hadn’t been so jumpy and excited by that time to see Paul on stage, I might remember the song playing. I’m not good with other bands, but hopefully someone else will come up with an answer. Hopefully the song will play during the Liverpool pre-show montage.

I’ve got no idea either. I do know this though: I’m starting to get quite nervous/anxious/excited for the concert. Only 2.5 weeks now.
My ticket hasn’t been sent yet, but should make its way to me any day now.
Still can’t believe I’m going to see Paul perform live…!!!

Paul will be in Philadelphia on Father’s day. I don’t think I will splurge as we already have a big trip planned to NYC in July to see a Yankees game on a Friday night and U2 the next night. Glad I saw him last summer!

I am seeing his concert tomorrow in London and I thought that I’ve got to boast about it! It’s very exciting as I have never seen him play before.
Anyone else going? (I’m still waiting for Ringo to perform in England again)

*Having an Ahhh Paul moment, please wait.*
I just saw an advert for Paul McCartney concert tickets (on this very site) and when I clicked on it, I found that
HE’S COMING TO SOUTH CAROLINA
which is not too far from my home state.
I almost screamed aloud.
Okay, now I’m looking at ticketmaster.com and hyperventilating. I MUST go see him in concert, if it’s the last thing I do.
ANYBODY GOTTA BITTA MONEY?!?!?!!?!!!!!!!!!
