A friend said the only time was the Wings Over America tour in Tuscon.

I thought there was one show over the last couple of years that fell on Paul’s birthday but my memory blows on things such as these.

I thought so too. Bonnaroo 2013 was just before his birthday, and I think it was mentioned during the show.

He played Helsinki 1 day prior in 2004, thats the closest i can see.

Looking thru the dates i just realised Paul played Glasgow two days after his 68th birthday. I dont remember anyone marking it but then the World Cup was on – i think Brazil played that day.

And its interesting that the one gig (outside of the Beatles at least) was in Tuscon, Arizona (“Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona”). All these little co-incidences.

Brazil played the Ivory Coast and won 3 – 1 (thanks wiki). I remember looking at the fixtures at the time and trying to work out how i could see Paul and watch Brazil play. The tickets said the gates opened at around 4pm so i was hoping at one point that Paul would start at 5pm, finish by 8pm and i could be in the pub by 8:25pm.

In a way, I’d think it woukd be fun to go, but I think I should be kind and let UK-based people go. They have been waiting a long time.

If you’re there at the same time, you should definitely go. How often do you get the experience of seeing Paul in Liverpool?

More from the Examiner about Paul’s European tour:

The European tour will encompass nine dates. The first three shows will be in the UK on May 23rd at The O2 Arena in London, May 27th at Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham and May 28th at the Echo Arena in his hometown of Liverpool.

From there, the tour will hit the European mainland and play June 5 at the Nouveau Stade Velodrome, Marseille, France; June 7 at the ZiggoDome in Amsterdam, the Netherlands; June 11 at the Stade De France in Paris, France; July 4 at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark; July 7 at the Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway; and July 9 at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. Tickets for all the shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Monday. The nine dates add to his previous announced shows April 21, 23, 25 and 27 in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan, May 2 in Seoul, Korea and June 19 at the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware, his only U.S. date announced so far.

Is the European tour only 9 shows, despite the fact he went to every bloody city in the U.S and went to S. America twice!

No I’m not angry, not at all

Doesnt Paul have the tendency to release a handful of dates and then keep adding more? Maybe his body cant handle the thought of 30 shows but broken down into smaller mini-tours that overlap each other is fine.

I’m going in a sulk. If he wont come here then i wont go there. Why should I have to make the effort to see him? Its not like he calls or sends me flowers in the post.a-hard-days-night-paul-11

If it makes you feel better, one of my friends is thinking of flying over for the show because it’s one of her dreams to see Paul in Liverpool.

I hope he does more dates, the fact that he isn’t set a date for Germany is strange, cause they’re all Beatles-mad there!
