@Expert Textpert
I just realized that we will be seeing Paul in concert two days before his birthday AND Ringo in concert two days before his birthday.
For both of them, the concert we see will be the last one they do before their birthday.
x-posted to Ringo’s 2014 tour thread.

Would have posted this earlier, but I was shooting a wedding. Los Angeles has been confirmed! August 10 at Dodger Stadium. This has been rumored for months ever since Jackie DeShannon announced it months ago on Breakfast with the Beatles.

LA Times article on Paul’s concert. Tickets range for $25-$250 (not including soundcheck tix, of course). I budgeted somewhere in the middle, so I’m glad to know I won’t be in nosebleed.

Christ, they are expensive! Bloody hell that’s about €180 for good seats :O You pay about €100 to see top acts in Dublin.
Recessionary times Paul!
Edit 1: Just saw his prices for the O2 in Dublin back in 2009 €86-€156

Well, the $250 tickets are for the very front, and actually, Paul’s one of the more reasonable of the “high end” artists (think Madonna, U2, Rolling Stones). At least the $25 tickets make it affordable for most people.

Dublin generally gets the cast-offs from British concerts, a population of 4.5 million with only so many fans of a certain artist generally leads to lower ticket prices than say L.A (obviously)
Edit: Actually with the €180 I could go to a weekend long musical festival and still have €30 left over 😛

Two more Paul dates have been confirmed:
August 5th: Missoula, MT – Washington-Grizzly Stadium
August 12th: Phoenix, AZ – US Airways Center
There are rumors of a few more dates as of yet to be confirmed as well.
Also, an amazing welcome for Paul in Quito, Ecuador:

Examiner article on the difficulty of getting tickets through Paul’s site, and quotes one of the fans who got her wrist signed at Outside Lands.
I was working today, and a friend tried to get tickets for us, with no luck, as I warned him would probably happen. We’ll try again Thursday during the Amex presale.

Success!! My friend and I were on the phone together. I pulled up seats I liked, but my friend went into a section above my budget… and then unexpectedly offered to pay the difference on my ticket. So we’ve got great seats, I’m really happy!
*whew* That stress is over.
BTW, for anyone who missed out today, there’s another presale by Goldenvoice tomorrow, Friday at 10am.

Section 104, row E. I can’t post a diagram of the seating chart right now so not sure if that says anything.

Congrats! Unfortunately, we couldn’t get “real” tickets for Dodger Stadium – the only options were print your own or will call, and my friend didn’t want to risk the lines.

^I’m jealous of all of you who are going to see Paul! I’d go again but he’s not coming back to Boston this go around, the closest is Albany (3-4 hr drive). At least I saw him last summer.
I’m seeing Ringo and Damon Albarn in a span of 6 days next month so I’ll be alright
