Hey, guys! Long time no speak. I am finally getting to see Paul! In June at Bonnaroo. I’m super excited and kind of nervous because I’ve never been to a festival. I’m afraid of not getting the full McCartney experience because it’s not a Beatles/McCartney crowd. Also, I’m not exactly sure I’ll get the best view. And I have to camp for like 4 days.
I almost wish I would have waited for when he announced other tour dates, but there was no guarantee I would have gotten a ticket then. It’s basically my last summer before I devote all of my time to the doctorly studies, so I want to have a blast. Talk me through this, folks. Anyone ever been to a Bonnaroo or other festival before? Is anyone going to see our boy this year?

Offline Before the new set list i wasnt that bothered about seeing Paul again as the songs have all been the same for however long and i was happy seeing each song live once in my life. However now i really want Paul in Scotland.

That set from last night looked great! And since he plays more often in the USA than in South America, I expect it to be shaken up even more (especially as there were clues to what they’d been rehearsing in the pictures on his website last week that weren’t included in the first night’s set). I can’t wait for July 9!

Offline LHL – Yes, I saw him at Rexall place. My sister & bro-in-law saw him a few days earlier in Vancouver (along with you, right?!)…so I was eve MORE excited after hearing my sister’s review. I am really excited that there is a new set with this tour…it will be fun to hear him sing some different tunes. But for me…if he sang all the same songs as in November…I wouldn’t mind a bit!

Offline I found it kind of odd that he chose mr kite as his john song. I really. Dug the day in the life/Give Peace A Chance tribute. But hey, its Paul and he does what he wants and I am still excited as ever to see him in July.

Offline He can perform whatever he wants, I still can’t wait. I really liked some of the solo and Wings stuff included, too (Another Day , 1985, Let Me Roll It , Band On The Run , Mrs. Vanderbilt, Here Today , Maybe I’m Amazed , etc).

Yes, that was the one! Was the best experience, can’t wait to do it again!
I am really excited about the new songs, especially since he’s doing one from Ram ! I love that album! Also “Lovely Rita ” is one of my favourites so I am pretty pumped about that too!

Maybe he will still do Give Peace A Chance , and he just doesn’t want to give it away? I hope so, because that moment was absolutely amazing. 
I also saw that he signed a fans tattoo again at the first show… I’m pretty far back, but I’m still going to make a sign for him to sign mine! I couldn’t even imagine!! It would be so amazing!!

Offline Is that all the dates? No more? I can’t believe I’m missing Paul again. I may never get to see him live. I’m surprised he’s not planning a date in Los Angeles. It’s Los Angeles for crying loud!

Offline As Gerell said, it’s supposed to be a world tour. World being a significant word there. He’s only been/planning to go so far to a handful of countries. And he can’t not come to the UK.
He hasn’t announced any new dates for some time though…. it’s worrying me slightly now

Offline As far as I know, that’s it for US dates but you never know. I think he’ll announce some UK dates soon…he has to, doesn’t he?

Once he’s finished/finishing these dates, European/Australian dates will be announced then perhaps he’ll conclude the tour in ‘Murica seems weird to not have a concert in LA. And a lot of world-tours seem to follow this ^ kind of schedule
