Since this thread came up, I’ve noticed that I occasionally brush my hair back with my middle finger. Something like this:
*melts into a puddle on the floor*
..sorry ’bout that. Like that, except not quite as fab.

It’s not actually subconscious, he just hates everyone. Talking about that, shouldn’t it be a smiley?
I do it all the time too actually (although sometimes I’ll notice and swap fingers quickly)– I get it from my dad.
I’ve come to notice I do it too, sometimes. I didn’t use to, though. I seem to have acquired the habit somewhere…

When I was in elementary school I used to have a bad nail biting habbit(I still do but it’s not as bad), and one time I walked by these kids while I was biting my middle finger nail. I waved at them with the hand with the finger I was biting so my middle finger was still out a bit. They got mad at me and I was really confused until I found out that they thought I was flipping them off.

1:53 mark of this Late Show interview. Guess he didn’t appreciate the Paul is dead talk (or did he?)
Every time I watch that interview, I laugh at the end when Dave says, “You have appeared on a marquee somewhere, right?”. Paul responds “I’ve done a roof”.

I want to know if he is pointing to the girl in the crowd that he wants to see after the show.

Looking at that photo a bit closer, George’s head almost looks photoshopped in. Like it’s too big for his body, or there isn’t enough neck, or something.

No, that’s because he’s leaning towards the camera. Notice his left hand; it appears much larger as well due to his strange pose. What I would think was happening here, is Paul seems to be introducing George, who is putting up a bit of a show. He did have those silly moments sometimes.

I wonder has anybody let him know what that finger means over here in America. Or do they just think forget it he’s Paul McCartney he can do as he pleases even if its unintentional.

Old habits die hard. Since giving someone the finger isn’t nearly as offensive to British people as the two-fingered salute is, there’s a good chance people never really took notice of it. And once you have a habit, try stopping it – especially when it’s subconscious.
