Paul's lost bass | Fab Forum | The Beatles Bible

I learned about Paul’s lost bass the other night. (You can read about it here, if you’re not familiar https://www.hofner.com/lost-bass). I was intrigued by the idea that there might be some evidence in Get Back , since it went missing sometime during those sessions.

I was telling my husband about it, and he joked that George probably took it.

Well I’ve been re-watching Get Back to see when I can spot the missing bass, and I noticed something hilarious. Late in ep 1 George says to Paul (who is wearing the newer version of the lost bass) “you’re playing that bass again”. Then in ep 3 George is playing a guitar with the same strap as the lost bass.

I’m not suggesting George actually stole Paul’s bass, but I still think it’s pretty funny 🙂
