Hey Beatles lovers,
I saw a glimpse of video that almost got away…but I had to pause the video, go back some frames and then voila…are those tattoos on Paul?

I’m on my phone now so the video is tiny. I do see what you’re talking about though. I will have to watch the video on a big monitor to get a closer, better look. I may have to put that clip on repeat. You know…just to really be sure so I can properly answer your question.

I see what you mean, @mylove, but if they are tattoos, they’re temporary tattoos. I would suggest it’s a top of some sort though.
Here’s the reason I say they are definitely not real tattoos: the video is of Paul in 2005, here he is pictured holidaying with Nancy in December 2013.
As you can see, not a hint of a tattoo.
(Should anyone be interested in pictures of Paul on the beach in 2013, there is a large selection taken on the same day here.)

I would suggest it is a flesh-coloured tee-shirt with some sort of abstract face design on it. If you look closely at his neck, there appears to be an arcing line, which hints at a round neckline, below you have the dark line running across it, which could be hair, further down at around chest level two dark bits on either side, which could be eyes, and then just above his jeans another dark mark in the centre, which could be a mouth. It’s difficult to tell though because of the quality of the picture though.

It’s a T-shirt, with some sort of animal face on it. Looks like the kind of shirts you can get at The Mountain. I’ve got some myself, they’re really cool. In fact, I’m quite sure it is one of their Big Face T-shirts, although it’s hard to make out what animal it is. Could be a deer, but whatever the design, it’s not on their website now.

Offline To me it looks like he had a fight with a memograph machine, and it won. Yes, I am old enough to have been a teacher when memograph was state-of-the-art. I lived with purple fingers and purple stains on my clothing.

Offline I just noticed this photo of Paul’s forearm (from another post I put up in the Paul section) — his forearm seems to have a vague tatoo on it. (The year is approximately 1971, supposedly…)
Am I seeing things? If it is a tatoo, what is the figure on it?

Offline Looks like it’s just a shadow or something. If he had one, we would’ve seen it long ago. It’s not like he never wears short sleeves… I don’t think he had any tattoos, unless it’s on his bum, since that’s about the only spot we never get to see.
ETA: I’ve watched that part of the video, and it’s just the result of fading one photo into the next. In the previous picture, we have Paul standing over some drums. The shape you see is actually his own head…

It’s class, she has this entire Beatle-sleeve on one of her arms with John and Paul being the focal points. I had pictures of it, but the links appeared to have expired 🙁 that and I wouldn’t share them without her permission anyways.

I tattooed “JRD” on my arm when I was 10. It was done with a sewing needle and ink for dip pens. I kind of regret doing it so young, but at least it has meaning.
