On the other hand, I enjoyed the quick bit of “I’ve Just Seen A Face “.
Thanks for mentioning that. I don’t have TV so I had to look it up.

I didn’t think I’d say this, but Paul was the weakest performer of the night. I don’t like Miley Cyrus or Paul Simon in general, but both of them absolutely nailed their performances. Kanye was fantastic too, despite having a sore throat (didn’t sound great on Only One, but oh well).

Unfortunately I saw more than a few people on twitter slagging him off about his voice. Perhaps they were unaware he had that gig the night before.I thought he was amazing.
I’m just happy Kayne West didn’t get up and insult him….

Say what you will, he still has the best 72-year-old hair in the history of mankind. I think Ben Ramon described it as a “violent shade of chestnut.”

parlance, BeatlebugI say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

I’m with everyone on this.
As dour as he looked, the OTHER Paul – Paul Simon – totally nailed his performance. His voice was perfect.
Our Paul … not so great, though it was getting better all the time…. I would have thought he’d warmed up. Liked the background graphics.
I’ve Just Seen A Face was fun. Didn’t realize they’d done it before; thanks mmm.
Saw a clip of him doing “One After 909 ” the night before – great! Wish he’d done that instead.
[Has Sir Paul EVER been good on SNL? I don’t think so. I don’t think he does so well on these one-off gigs (See Olympics…)]

I’m like a month late to this thread… but I couldn’t ignore it. I’ve grown to love SNL and I was especially excited about this performance. And it was good, just not as good as other performances. Obviously. (Not that anyone cares anymore… still, this discussion was about SNL and Paul. I couldn’t stay away )
