and for the 2010 Netflix has it.
Netflix for Canada is so terrible! It only goes up to 2009 (even that far surprises me), and the episodes are always missing a ton of sketches.
Then again, it is $8.00 a month, so how much can I really complain?
"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

We have the 2012 on our PVR for now, at least.

Hm, it’d be cool if they rebroadcast Paul’s 1980 post-pot-bust meeting with Father Guido Sarducci in its entirety, that was hilarious! Or at least seemed hilarious when I watched it live as a 12-year old. First saw the “Coming Up ” video on that episode too – I think that might’ve been the premiere.
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

It’s likely that Netflix has this – they have the first 5 seasons of SNL anyway. Or your local dvd rental place might order it for you.

I think its now par of the course for Paul. Goes back to at least the 2012 London Olympics and ever since then its been a running commentary from some. I think they have this idea that he should sound like he did pre-Wings and that since he doesnt he should never sing again. Absolute nonsense of course. Yes he cant reach some notes but he still sounds great.

I thought his voice sounded strained at the beginning, but got stronger as he progressed. But I can imagine for someone who hasn’t heard him since he was, say, 40, it’s really jarring.

Yeah he did strain a tiny bit at the start, but after that it was excellent.
As we’re talking about SNL, can you imagine how big of a cultural moment it would have been if John and Paul did actually go on it together? I’ve always wished they had.

Or even if their visit together that night was like it was in the movie “Two of Us”. That would have brilliant.
By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

Some articles on the SNL40 afterparty. Paul played with Taylor Swift. Prince showed up, but, alas, no collaboration between the two.

I hate to say it, but I cringed last night during “Maybe I’m Amazed “. For me it was worse than the Olympics. I realize his voice is not what it use to be. On the other hand, I enjoyed the quick bit of “I’ve Just Seen A Face “.
