Heard it this morning and fell in love with it. Bloody shame the song can’t be purchased individually, though. I don’t want to buy the whole album for one song.

I love it! It’s a sweet tune; the melody is gold and the production’s very tasteful.
Paul’s still got the touch, man

I really like it! It’s got a nice melody and, as SG said, very good production (something I haven’t heard much of these days ). 3 Maccas out of 5.

I’m a bit surprised not more people have responded to this.
When I heard it, early yesterday morning, it instantly made me smile. The melody is exactly what you’d expect from Paul, it’s his signature style. But then his voice comes in and it’s him, but it’s also not. I love how he embraced his ageing voice and manages to make it work. Sure, he’s lost a lot of power, but later on, when the song reaches its peak, he seems to really let go and that’s when you can hear the magic is still there. Sure, Paul’s ‘old man’ voice takes some getting used to, but I think it has its own charm. Admittedly, I prefer to hear him the way he used to be but I don’t hate how he sounds now. And he can still sing, regardless of what all those naysayers like to claim.
I give the song a big and I can’t wait for the new album to come out (I hope this single will be on it)

It’ll be fine once he’s polished it for release. That’s the trouble when things get leaked early. Before it comes out properly, he’ll have done away with possibly the worst vocal of his career (even if it is only a guide vocal), and he’ll have dumped most of the corny clichés and empty phrasing by the time he’s finished the lyric as much of it is obviously just placeholding.
EDIT: Oh! That is the finished version! Oh…
He used to be a Beatle, you know…

It’s so funny how this thread started with like three people saying, ‘Oh, what a nice tune!’…
and then the rest of the crowd arrives. ‘BORING!’ ‘Soporific.’ ‘He’s lost his touch!’

“In the blink of an eye, many songs have been sung, many lives have gone by.” is a line that I really like.
“We will never give up, we will hold on to love with no reason to cry” is a line that I kind of hate.
But its quality music people. We can at least be thankful that it doesn’t sound like Driving Rain .

I just listened to it for the first time. He still melts my heart. I bet it is just great playing during the credits of the movie. I think it is cool how he can write for the occasion…whatever the occasion may be.

What she said . People seem to forget that this is an end credit song for an animated film. What were they expecting; a revamp of Cut Me Some Slack (which completely blew me away, by the way. Bloody hell, that man has a voice to be reckoned with) or Helter Skelter ? It’s a children’s film, and I feel this song is perfect for it.
Sometimes I wonder of some people are just looking for reasons to dislike what Paul does.
