Paul's song, Paul's feelings. But I'll go with what mith wants.
I didn't remember I started this topic. Well I put it here because it's a McCartney's song.
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……
Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…
Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.

In Here Today Paul asks and muses
And if I said
I really knew you well
What would your answer be?Well knowing you
You’d probably laugh and say
That we were worlds apart
While listening to @Into the Sky with Diamonds’s show on Lennon-McCartney collaborations, I thought of this connection. We may have John’s answer to Paul’s question in the song Hey Bulldog .
You think you know me but you haven’t got a clue
That line was in Paul’s subconscious if not at the forefront of his mind when he wrote those lines in Here Today .

This is a really nice link between lyrics of different songs. I’d like to add that John also sings “I know you, you know me”… from “Come Together .” (Of course, he might have been referring to “old flat-top,” and not Paul, so that might not add up to much.)

John thought, “You have found her, now go and get her” was meant for him.
In “Two of us on our way home” was Paul obliquely referring to Paul and John? ….

With Two of Us, while Linda may have inspired it, I don’t think there is any escaping that it was, at least, partly about John. The lines, “You and I have memories / Longer than the road that stretches out ahead”, just don’t fit someone commenting on a relationship at its beginning, but seem more a recognition of a relationship coming to an end.

This q&a on Paul’s site gives significant insight into Here Today , especially the line “What about the Night we Cried”. Published 12 hours ago, figured y’all hadn’t seen it yet (and know you want to!).

Unfortunately, @Matt Busby, it’s another example of Paul giving less insight in his Q&A than he has previously. Joe’s article, and the beginnings of this thread, include a much more detailed and insightful response to the same question during an interview with The Guardian in 2004:
We were in Key West in 1964. We were due to fly into Jacksonville, in Florida, and do a concert there, but we’d been diverted because of a hurricane. We stayed there for a couple of days, not knowing what to do except, like, drink. I remember drinking way too much, and having one of those talking-to-the-toilet bowl evenings. It was during that night, when we’d all stayed up way too late, and we got so pissed that we ended up crying — about, you know, how wonderful we were, and how much we loved each other, even though we’d never said anything. It was a good one: you never say anything like that. Especially if you’re a Northern Man.
I’m afraid I’m yet to see Paul say anything new, or particularly insightful, in any response to the question that gets picked for him to respond to on his website.
Thanks for the link though.

I dont want to spoil the “surprise” when he plays this song in he’s one on one tour but i can tell you that it’s different than his previous perfomances.
I cried my eyes out the whole concert but this song in particular together with something kicked my heart,so bad.

You’re helping me make the decision to go see Paul this year, @Sailorsam. I will have to travel to see him, but not as far as you did.
