Senior citizens have sex all the time.

I heard that retirement homes are just like college dorms, with large outbreaks of STDs.

I don’t know how true that is about retirement homes, but people 60 years and older are the second most common age group in America to get STDs.

Out of all the many conversations started about Paul’s music over the years (including people claiming that he had died and been replaced by a lookalike), this might just be the strangest one yet paul-mccartney-facepalm_gifahdn_john_08_gif

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Seeing as this is pride month and rainbows are everywhere on this forum… is it just me, or does this song sound super gay? In a good way? ahdn_george_01

Eh, I dunno, it just gives me gay vibes. Like a gay couple would sing it to each other or something, or at least dance to it.

Yeah, it’s non-specific but for some reason I had a particular association with it — don’t ask me where my brain gets these ideas mccartney-shrug_01_gif

I’m not hearing it, but the repeated listen as a result of this post caused me to realise that it’s a pretty awesome, well put together song, even if it is somewhat uncomfortable.

Well, it’s catchy, but I can’t listen to it without thinking how awkward it is at the same time (I wonder what Nancy thinks about it if she have heard it) given his age and status as a musician. Makes me think of Madonna’s “Bitch, I’m Madonna” though unlike that song I can actually listen to FU.

I can see it.  I think the use of fuh you in a way that it sounds like “I just  want it for you” and “I just wanna f*** you” gives a certain amount of plausible deniability that a gay person might want if they couldn’t be super open about it and were worried about people over hearing.  I just thought of that right now, but it sort of makes sense.

I do like the sound of the song.  I think Paul does a good job with that modern sound.  Although if you don’t like the modern sound, I can see how you wouldn’t like it.

As for the infamous lyric, it caught, me off guard the first time I listened to it.  I had to look it up.  I think it’s clever what he did.  Even with knowing the official lyric, I’m still probably gonna cringe everytime I hear the line.

I have a long running group chat with my play school/kindergarten friends and nearly every day I post a ‘tune of the day’ and one of my friends has compiled a playlist of all of the songs.

She was listening to it today and ‘Fuh You’ came on and this is her analysis of the song:

“Okay anyway I’m listening to tune of the day playlist and fuh you by Paul McCartney comes on and I love this song because I don’t know anything about it but here’s what I think of it. So it’s clearly not a Beatles era kind of song it definitely sounds more modern than that so it has to be a more recent Paul McCartney . And it’s so modern day pop that I’m picturing Paul McCartney as he is today singing about trying to figure out where this girls heads at and how she makes him wanna steal. So I’m just picturing old ass Paul sitting up at night thinking about how badly he wants to rail this chick.”

She would be correct in that assumption.
